With the beautiful autumn weather we had, the chil- dren got to spend many days outside after school. We all know that the fresh air and sunshine can do a world of wonders. On their school days off, the children have been to Stade's Farm to pick their own pumpkins and have fun on the Stade's attractions. They spent another day getting much exercise at Mega Trampoline, which is one of their favorite field trips. They have aiso gone to THt/Rink Side Sports in Gurnee, to play some laser tag and mini golf. At the end of November they will be going to the Marriot Lincolnshire to see the play Sleeping Beauty. I am very excited about a couple new classes we will introduce to our Recreation pro- gram in January. They are "Nerf Elite Battle" and "Mini Ninja Warriors". They are brought to us by "Hot Shots Sports". I'm sure it will be a lot of fun, as weil as helping children get some much needed exercise. I am a strong believer that unless children are in a sports program of some kind, they are spending too much time on their elec- Ironies or watching television. BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CLUB-2017/2018

The Village of Island Lake offers a "Before and After School Club" program at Cotton CreekElementary School during the school year. The morning program runs from 6:30 am. to 9:05 a.m.

on Monday through Thursday, and from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Fridays. The afternoon program

runs from 3:40 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

During club hours, your child will participate in a variety of activities including homework time,games, sports, crafts, snack, and free time. We have caring counselors who welcome your childinto our fun and friendly environment.

To register your child for this program, visit the recreation office at the Village Ha!!,3720 GreenleafAve. A $30 non-refundable registration fee will be required at the time of

registration.
