Ramanavami The month of April began with the auspicious celebration of Ramanavami.

The appearance day of Lord Ramachandra was celebrated with great enthusiasm at ISKCON London.

We were graced with classes from His Holiness Indradyumna Swami and Her Grace Urmila devi dasi.

As usual the day was packed with festivities, kirtans, dramas, and a wonderful feast. The celebrations went on late into the night with a blissful lila-kirtan delivered by Radha-Londonisvara dasa.

The weekly Friday Programme sessions also continued this month.

The main highlights were an invigorating session led by Virabhadra dasa based on Srila Prabhupada and the hippies, and an eventful outdoor session in Regents Park tailored for new and recent attendees.

Youth PreachingDespite the Easter break, this month enjoyed a range of activities on the preaching front. The main highlights are outlined below.

    University Preaching

This month we focused on kirtan for our university programs. This took the form of meditation sessions that were held to relieve the stress of the upcoming exam and coursework deadline season.

These sessions continue to draw a varied group of participants eager to experience something new and wholesome in the midst of their hectic student lives.

We also participated in a larger event called COEXIST, which focused on unity in diversity as demonstrated through music in different religious faiths.

Our presentation was facilitated by Jahnavi from As Kindred Spirits, with assistance from several other devotees, and was based on kirtan along with a broad introduction to the philosophy of kirtan and Krishna Consciousness.

In the beginning there may be some failures. That is quite natural. Just as a child is trying to stand, he may fall down. But that does not mean he should give up the idea. Go on. A time will come when he will be perfect.

A time will come when you will be perfect, Krishna conscious.
