Education
• He graduated Bachelor of Chemistry at Cornell University
• Started postgraduate studies in physics at Cornell 1921
• Continued at Columbia University 1927 received his PhD
• degree for work on magnetic properties of crystals
Facts-
• was concerned with the magnetic properties of crystals
• Stern's molecular beam method to great precision
• published his most important papers in The Physical Review
• 1939 he received the Prize of the American Association

• He was awarded the Medal for Merit• Honorary D. Sc. of Princeton Harvard and
