Women are not given equal rights or facilities as men.

SECULARITY

POLITICSIndia follows all the ideals of democracy such as free and fair elections, Universal Adult Franchise, Multi-party elections, etc.But as we know, Indian politics is full of corruption. Politicians do not know the best interest of the people. They are only concerned with their own welfare.SPORTS

India has achieved many successes in sporting fields like Cricket, Tennis, shooting, Boxing, Wrestling etc.But some of the sports persons are dishonest and take performance enhancing drugs. The sporting bodies are also corrupt. Back to Men

EDUCATIONOver the past few years the government has launched many programmes to promote education such as Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. However, people in rural areas still don’t send their daughters to school. Compared to Foreign schools, India also has a long way to go.HEALTHCARE

Healthcare facilities in India have really advanced in the past few decades. The diagnostic techniques have become state-of-the-art.But, Healthcare in India is very expensive compared to the wages of the rural people which leads to overcrowding of the comparatively cheaper government hospitals due to our large population. CONCLUSIONTherefore, we can say that India has progressed immensely in the past few decades in all the fields. We are the largest democracy in the world. WE are the fifth country to send an Orbiter to Mars. We have one of the largest armed force in the world. We have Mountains in the North, Deserts in the West, Coastal Plains in the South and Dense Forests in the North-East. We have diversity in relief features like no other country. India, with its varied heritage and culture, is truly a sight to behold!

However, the negative aspects such as corruption, illiteracy, very high population and lack of basic amenities and development have marred our progress.
