Convene
Global Washington is a convening body with well-attended annual conferences, policy events, and initiatives offering opportunities for networking and partnership-building.
Global Washington frequently hosts events centered on key issues or regions of the world and engages with businesses to support public-private partnerships.
Global Washington supports a directory and mapping tool on our website, and we provide a monthly newsletter, events calendar, and social media communications with our members and the greater community.
Strengthen
Global Washington strengthens member organizations to increase their impact by offering capacity building workshops, providing promotional opportunities, and creating a strong climate in the state for funding and jobs in the development sector.
Global Washington directs the Careers in Development Center with job postings, academic resources, and job profiles from around the state.
Global Washington provides a clearinghouse of resources and publishes research and reports on issues relevant to the sector and at the same time supports fundraising efforts of our members.
Advocate
Global Washington is a state and international leader, promoting collaboration across diverse sectors, including business, education and global development.
Global Washington supports public relations campaigns to highlight our members and demonstrate the important connection between Washington State business and international development.
Global Washington builds a collective voice around Foreign Aid Reform and other policies that impact the international development community.
“Global Washington is holding us accountable in Washington, DC. They’re making sure that the very small amount of money that we spend in this area is being spent efficiently and they’re making sure that we get the maximum amount for the dollars that America does invest. This is about solving problems so larger problems aren’t created in the future. And Global Washington is a cutting-edge organization helping us do that.”
– Senator Maria Cantwell
