This Indian Standard (Part 2) which is identical with ISO 96-2 : 1992 ‘Textile machinery andaccessories — Rings and travelers for ring spinning and ring doubling frames — Part 2: HZCH-, HZ-and J-rings and their appropriate travelers’ issued by the International Organization forStandardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of theMachinery for Fabric Manufacture Sectional Committee and approval of the Textile Division Council.
This standard supersedes IS 5138: 1981 ‘Specification for ear-shaped metal travelers for doublingframes (first revision)’ since it was based on !S0 2266 : 1974 ‘Metal travelers for spinning andtwisting’ which has been replaced by ISO 96-2:1992.
Other part of this standard is as under:
Part 1 T-rings and their appropriate travelers
The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard withoutdeviations. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards.Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they shouldbe read as ‘Indian Standard’.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the currentpractice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
In this adopted standard, reference appears to the following International Standard for which IndianStandard also exists. The corresponding Indian Standard which is to be substituted in ks place islisted below along with its degree of equivalence for the edition indicated:
