Black and white Vogue cover

These pictures were taken over 60 years ago

Taken in 1950

The light was a artificial light. It was taken inside

The light is coming from the front right of the images

The main subject would be the woman he is taking a picture of

The composition is great it really makes the blacks and the whites stand out

The story in this photo would be the way she looks, she is telling something with her eyes

I picked this photo because is stood out. The contrast and just how old the photo is. It was hard to get good photos back then.

Man in mask

Taken in Cuzco Peru 1948

This lighting look to be artificial

The lighting is coming from above

The main subject would be the mask on the mans face and the rope around his neck

The composition is really good, its supper clear and his mask really stands out. He used to the rule of thirds

He is trying to show the pain in the masked face, the rope around his neck tells me that he is in pain and is questioning life

I chose this picture because of the story it tells

MouthThis photograph is called mouth

Taken in New York in 1986The light is artificial. Taken inside.

The light is coming from straight onI can tell because of the shadowing. And how there isnt a shadow from the

nose. If the light was from the side, the shadow from the nose would be on the other side. But there isn't a shadow so the lighting is striaght on

The main subject would have to be the lips. The cool texture and coloring from the lips

He isn't using rule of thirds, bur the clarity is outstanding I think he is trying to sell lipstick, and this picture really makes me want to

go out and buy lipstick. I chose this photo because it was unique and I havnt seen one like this

before

Turning Head self portrait

This portrait is called turning head and was taken in 1993

The lighting is artificialThis lighting is coming from above and straight on, I can tell due to the

shadowing.

The main subject would be the face in the middle

I can tell because that what he is trying to make stand out. That’s what he wants us to focus on

The composition is just average. Its clear and focused.

Iviring is really clever. I don’t know how he took this photo. It is really cool. I chose it because the picture itself is cool to look at. But I feel like it could

have been taken better. The idea Is great though.

Broken eggThis photo was taken in New York in 1959

I can tell because the reflection of the light coming off the yolk of the egg

The main subject would be the cracked egg and the yolk coming out of it

I can tell because that’s the only thing in this picture and that’s what the photographer wants us to be looking at

The composition is great. This photo is really clear and smooth

I don’t know what the photographer in this photo is trying to tell us. Maybe something to do with cooking? I don’t know

I chose this picture because I know how hard it is to crake an egg perfectly. And then to take a picture of it.. That must have

been really hard

Balenciaga sleeve This picture was taken in Paris in 1950

The lighting is artificial and the picture was taken insideThe lighting is coming from the above and to the left due to where the

shadow is on the sleeveThe main subject would be the sleeve and the elbow

I can tell because it’s the names of the photo and its what stands out the most

The composition is good, its really clear and everything stands out like I can almost feel it threw the computer screen. He uses the rule of

thirds and the fabric looks so clearI don’t know what he is trying to get across

I don’t think there is a story, maybe there is, its just hard to tell what it is

I like this photo because its unique and its fabric and how perfectly it creases stood out to me.
