Flat irons

• In the late Middle Ages , the craftsmen began to make simple flat irons. Heated on the fire or stove.

• Late 19th century iron designs

experimented with heat-retaining fillings. Designs of this period became more and more ingenious and complicated, with reversible bases, gas jets and other innovations.

Coal irons• Irons were given containers which were filled with hot coal, that

then kept the iron warm for a longer period of time.

Electric irons • Today there are an ordinary electric irons.

water.
