Product Overview The Web Importer lets you import existing web pages directly into your iRise simulations. With a single click, you can bring in the content of a web page as a high fidelity prototype. This feature is useful for capturing a baseline of an existing application that may require enhancing, or for kick starting the creation of your internal content library that contains corporate assets and styles you can use as building block for future simulations.

This is a BETA product and we recognize this current Early Access version may not import all Web Sites as

well as we would like. Our suggestion is to use this product with no risk – and any content that is imported is

a plus.

We are actively working on improving the import quality to handle more and more types of web pages and

will continue to make frequent incremental releases.

We hope you find this feature a useful add-on to iRise Studio.

Known Issues

• Inconsistent results with iFrames resulting in some iFrames not importing correctly. • A single HTML text string with multiple text styles will be imported as multiple text widgets within

iRise Studio. • Gradient background images will be converted to the gradient start color. • Z-order is only partially implemented. • Occasionally, text widgets that do not wrap in web page will wrap in iRise Studio. • Web pages using SSL and a client certificate may not import well. • Menus created using <ul> will import as text widgets, not menu widgets. • Rounded corners are not currently supported • Some Sprites are not able to be imported as individual images • Placement of Text Widgets on the page often may not be same as the original site. This is

especially true when text widgets with multiple formats share the same parent DOM element. • Pages with Active-X components are not supported. • In some cases, the Importer can lock Studio on Mac OSX. • Page Names which have multi byte character may not be mapped over correctly
