My responsibilities included to engage with a task leader to complete the task within time and after the task completion, report to the supervisor or in-charge of how you accomplish the given task and was given a theoretical overview on it. My major responsibilities are: - Operating Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) system i.e. using a double ended fiber optic cable to interpret the surrounding temperature and fiber length to assure virtuous working of DTS; - To assure the working condition of gauges with the help of UniCONN device which is used to interpret the down-hole temperature and pressure from varying crystal frequencies of gauges, particularly NLQG; - Performing technical reception of packers (hydraulic tubing used to stop or let the flow of oil to the surface) and gauges and mark them with OK certification sticker; - To maintain workshop manual (all service tools) of a department presented in a hard coded laminated form making it visually striking for anyone to find what he / she needs; - Assisted project engineer, Mr. Stephen Mullen in troubleshooting Distributed Vibration Sensing (DVS) system use to detect any leakage in down-hole and perform fiber optic cable fusion splicing with the help of three steps cutter. - To keep the computer system for DTS purpose, up to date with all security patches and fixes available at vendor’s website, Microsoft as system is running ‘Windows’ operating system. My experience in Schlumberger has enabled me to develop a comprehensive understanding of the working of service tools for high quality production of oil and refreshed my basic concepts about physics and electronics where fiber cable and many electronic instruments used either for troubleshooting or for data processing. COMPLETIONS – RESERVOIR MONITORING AND CONTROL (2 months)

I was a part of Completions department to complete my 8 weeks internship to complete my bachelor program and gain some valuable practical experience in work environment. My responsibilities included to engage with a task leader to complete the task within time and after the task completion, report to the supervisor or in-charge of how you accomplish the given task and was given a theoretical overview on it. My major responsibilities are:

I am working as a Project Engineer in Secutronic, AMT Phase – 1 department. My job role as a Project Engineer is to supervise my team in a project, solve or configure (program) any technical computer /

system level issue / device, performing periodic PM (preventative maintenance) and CM (corrective maintenance) of industrial security systems of leading oil company and our client, Saudi Aramco; if any and have direct and effective liaison with client. Below are some of my tasks accomplishments:

DIGITAL IMPLEMENTATION OF IMAGE PROCESSING ALGORITHM (HISTOGRAM EQUALIZATION) ON FPGA

Summary

Our project’s aim is to enhance or equalize any 8 bit gray scale image either taken on hand or previously present using image

processing well known algorithm, Histogram Equalization which equalizes the histogram of an image. Our project is built on

Virtex 4 FPGA, ML-402 evaluation board kit with a maximum resolution to 160 × 160 according to FPGA Block RAM resources

present in it.

PERFORMED SITE SURVEY

1. Sabic – Ibn Sina co. – Jubail

Performed site survey of petrochemical

industry, SABIC co. With mutual

correspondence with security personnel for

cameras coverage, we examined each

location with camera type.

2. Saudi Aramco – Al Midra Tower Building

Performed site survey of Saudi Aramco’s

Al Midra Tower building for FLIR long

range demo camera with IR / Thermal.

Worked on FLIR long range camera (both

standard plus IR / Thermal camera) its

operation through software and configure it

SAUDI ARAMCO MAINTENANCE Project

Working on IDAS, intrusion detection

and assessment system included working

on Vindicator V5, now upgraded to AVS,

sensor’s status and transmit video for

cameras (adjusting masking, sensitivity,

Recorder) for proper camera video display;
