From the time Jewels was un a piccola Bambina-a little girl, she loved her mother, Marcie, so much. Marcia and Jewels did everything together. They were best friends.

Marcie and Jewels loved to play video games and board games. They would play for

hours. They would talk about people in their family and the

drama that was happening.

Jewels and her Mamma, Marcie, would love to bake un sacco di dolci- lots of sweets! They would bake pizzelles, cinnamon rolls, cakes, and all kinds

of sweets. Marcie and Jewels loved to spend time together.

Jewels and her Mamma would put up Christmas lights together. Marcie favorite holiday was Christmas-

Natale. They would put up the tree, and Marcie would decorate it. They would listen to Christmas music and

watch old Christmas cartoons. Marcie and Jewels both loved Christmas.

Marcie and Jewels were best friends – migliori amici. Jewels could tell her

Mamma anything. She meant the world to Jewels. If Jewels was having a bad day she could talk to her mom.

They had a close connection.

Jewels and her Mamma would sneak out and get ice cream- Gelato or hot chocolate- Cioccolata calda. They would not tell Jewel’s dad, Chris, or

her brother CJ. Just Marcie and Jewels would go. They spent a lot of time

with each other.

Mamma and Jewels would go to church- Chiesa together on Sunday.

They enjoyed going to church. After church They would feel good about

themselves. Jewels and her Mamma loved going to church.

After church, they would cook a big Sunday dinner- Domenica Sera at their house.

They would invite all the family- Famiglia over. There would be so much food. Their Sunday would

be church, dinner, and football-calcio. Sundays were great for Jewels and Marcie.

The girls loved to shop- amava negozio. They would spend all day shopping. They like finding good deals. They would go from store to store just buying things and having a good time. It was nice shopping with her Mamma.

Jewels and her Mamma would have bonfires- Falo. The whole family would sit around the fire while it

crackled and sizzled- sfrigolio. They would burn marshmallows. Marcie and Jewels would sit out by the fire all night. They would talk and tell each other jokes and old stories.

Jewels and her Mamma were best friends- migliori amici. They never

kept secrets. Jewels could always count on her Mamma to be there for her. She could tell her anything and it would not change their relationship. Jewels Ama Sua Madre- Loves her

Mamma. She means the world to her.

My name is Julia Black. I am a senior at Lawrence County Career and Technical Center. I am enrolled in the Commercial Art program. My home school is the New Castle Area School District.
