1. How to work on Wavelet-1D of one dimensional in the Wavelet Toolbox.

Step1: Type “wavemenu” in the command window then following window will display.

Step2: Now click on the “Wavelet 1-D” under one-dimensional.

Step3: Now goto file/Example Analysis/Basic Signals/Electrical Consumption with db3 at level 5 and following window will display.

Display mode: Full Decomposition

2. How to work on Multi signal analysis 1-D of Multiple 1-D in the Wavelet Toolbox.

Step1: Type “wavemenu” in the command window then following window will display.

Step2: Now click on the “Multi signal Analysis 1-D” under one-dimensional. Now following window will display.

Step3: Now goto file/Example/Ex-3: 6 Clusters of 50 Signals and following window will display.

3. How to work on Neural Fitting Tool of the Neural Network Toolbox.

Step1: Type “nftool” in the command window then following window will display.

Step2: Now click on the “Next” button then following window will display.

Step3: Now click on the “Load Example Data Set” button then following window will display.

Step4: Now select a data set, “Building Energy” then after this click on the “Import” button then following window will display.

Step5: Select here the percentage validation and testing and Click on the next button then following window will display.

Step1: Type “nctool” in the command window then following window will display.

Step2: Now click on the “Next” button then following window will display.

Step3: Now click on the “Load Example Data Set” button then following window will display.

5. How to work on Neural Network Pattern Recognition Tool of the Neural Network Toolbox.

Step1: Type “nprtool” in the command window then following window will display.

Step2: Now click on the “Next” button then following window will display.

Step3: Now click on the “Load Example Data Set” button then following window will display.

Step4: Now select a data set, “Types of Glass” then after this click on the “Import” button then next button then following window will display.

Step5: Select here the percentage validation and testing and Click on the next button then following window will display.

Step6: Select here the size of the number of hidden neurons and Click on the next button then following window will display.

Step7: Now train the network by clicking on the “Train” button and Click on the different “Plot” for Results, then following window will display.

6. How to design High pass filter with the Filter design & analysis tool.

Step1: Type “fdatool” in the command window then following window will display.

Step2: Here we can select the desired filter and its various parameters, which we want to design. Select the High pass filter and retain other value as it is then click on the “design filter” button. Now following window will display.

Step3: Now click on the “Design Filter” then following window will display.

Step4: Now From the left bottom icon we change its various properties. Suppose we click on the pole zero then following window will open.

7. How to design Notch filter with the Filter design & analysis tool.

Step1: Type “fdatool” in the command window then following window will display.

8. How to design a PID controller using simulink.

Step1: Click on the start button of MATLAB and then goto simulink/library browser. Now following window will appear.

Step2: Now click on the “File/New/Model” button then following window will display.

Step3: Now search the desired block from the simulink library browser and placed it in the above window. Here we are designing PID controller.

Step4: Now click on the “Start Simulation” button then click on the scope then you will find the output of the controller according to input.
