THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATION FOR STANDARISATION (ISO) IS THE INTERNATIONAL AGENCY FOR STANDERDS.
IT IS COMPRISING THE NATIONAL STANDARDS BODIES OF 91 COUNTRIES INCLUDING INDIA.
ISO IS MADE UP OF APPROXIMATELY 180 TECHNICAL COMMITTEES.
EACH TECHNICAL COMMITTEE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ONE OF THE MANY AREAS OF SPECIALISATION.
THE OBJECT OF ISO IS TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF STANDARISATION AND RELATED WORLD ACTIVITIES WITH A VIEW
TO FACILITATING INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE OF GOODS AND SERVICES AND TO DEVELOP
COOPERATION IN THE SPHERE OF INTELLECTUAL, SCIENTIFIC,
TECHNOLOGICAL AND ECONOMIC ACTIVITY.
WITH INCREASED FOCUS ON QUALITY ISSUES
WORLDWIDE,VARIOUS STANDARDS DEVELOPING
ORGANISATIONS PREPARED STANDARDS AND
GUIDELINES IN THE QUALITY FIELD.
ALTHOUGH THERE WERE SIMILARTIES AMONG THE
MANY STANDARDS ,THE QUALITY PICTURE
BECOME CLOUDY.
