    Description

    This instructor-led course introduces students to computer programming.

    Students will learn the fundamental concepts and terminology of software

    application development and develop skills in designing and writing simple

    computer programs. The course assumes no programming background and

    provides an overview of the software development process in addition to

    introducing important programming constructs and methodologies.Course Appropriate For Individuals who are contemplating a career in software development and who

    wish to understand the fundamentals of computer programming.

    Professionals, such as managers and technical salespeople, who mustunderstand programming concepts and be able to communicate with software

    developers.

    End-users of productivity applications, such as Microsoft Word, MicrosoftExcel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Access, who want to add

    advanced functionality to documents and databases.

    Web designer who want to understand how programs and scripts can makeWeb sites more dynamic.

    Course Information:

    Introduction To Programming

    This instructor-led course introduces students to computer programming.

    Students will learn the fundamental concepts and terminology of software

    application development and develop skills in designing and writing simple

    computer programs. The course assumes no programming background and

    provides an overview of the software development process in addition to

    introducing important programming constructs and methodologies.

    You will be introduced to the following concepts: Windows XP, QBasic

    (introduction, file management, editing and navigating, basic statements and

    functions), Constants and Variables, Control Structures, Working with Arrays and

    Visual Basic (introduction, file management, programming, creating a userinterface).

    TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    Course fees are due and payable prior to course commencement. CTU reserves the right to make changes to the course content, trainer, duration and dates without prior notification. CTU cannot run a class with less than 6 students, should there not be sufficient student numbers, CTU will reschedule the class. Training material is included in the price. All student practice data will be deleted off the system on course completion. International exam prices are NOT included in this quote unless otherwise specified and can be done at our Prometric testing centre. Certificates ofattendanceare issued after successful completion, and settlement of account in full. CTU training solutions will not be held liable for incorrect entry-level bookings. This course is subject to change at any time without prior notice and at CTUs sole discretion. No cancellations will be accepted, please ensure you attend on the date specified on the booking form. No refunds will be issued. Rescheduling is required in writing 48 hours prior to course starting date, and attracts an administration fee of R150 per incident. Should written

    notice not be received within this time period, the course will be invoiced in full and a new enrolment will be required.

    Substitutions may be made at any time. The student will be expected to comply with the rules and regulations of CTU and the various buildings in which it is situated. This is available upon

    request at the reception desk.

    CTU does not accept any responsibility for any personal injury of any degree or whatever the cause may be, or any loss, whatever the cause, of anypersonal belonging of any student. Once a book is issued, it is the property of the student, and constitutes a personal belonging.
