These allow simple connection of the inverter to the AS-i bus, using the standard USS interface of the inverter, resulting in simplificaton of wiring and more flexible control compared with conventional methods. In this mode, a time out of 1 second is set in theinverter. Only by leaving this mode with set all bits tozero will erase the time out. Resign error status in theinverter by setting all bits to zero, then set and reset Bit0 (forward, backward).

3. Upload and Download of inverter parameter sets(AS-i Parameter Ehex)The AS-i slave with serial interface can upload anddownload the parameter sets of the COMBIMASTERand MICROMASTER with AS-i parameter Ehex. Theoperations are controlled by the AS-i data bits.

Attention: In Parameter 971 of the inverter, the usercan decide, if the parameters will be stored inside theEEPROM or only inside the RAM of the inverter.Upload and download also can be done manuallywith a push button directly at the AS-i slave.

Upload and download with the push button can only beoperated with AS-i parameter F and the bit combination000X (Stop).

4. Free adjustable preset speed 5 (AS-i Parameter: =Bhex)With AS-i Parameter B the free adjustable preset speed5 and a ramp can be transmitted to the frequencyinverter using the 12 bit AS-i analog protocol (7.1).Toactivate preset speed 5 the AS-i Master has to switch toAS-i Parameter F and use the bit combination 111X or010X. Preset speed 5 and ramp are transmitted via„two-channel-analog profile“ (preset speed: channel 0,ramp: channel 1).The ramp transmitted to the inverter via the serialinterface can reach values between 200 ms and 650s insteps of 0,2s (value 1-CB2hex). Tramp = hexadecimalvalue * 0,2sThe ramp will be used for all Preset speeds under AS-iparameter F and it is stored in parameter 2 of theinverter.

Preset speed 5 can reach values between 0,2Hz and650Hz in steps of 0,2Hz (value 1-CB2hex).Preset speed 5 = hexadecimal value * 0,2Hz

5. Controlled by setpoint value (AS-i Parameter =Chex)With AS-i Parameter C the frequency inverter iscontrolled by a setpoint value or a ramp as 8 bit valueusing the AS-i analog protocol 7.1 (Bit 9 = 0: setpointvalue, Bit 9 = 1: ramp).The ramp transmitted to the inverter via the serialinterface can reach values between 400 ms and 80 s insteps of 0,4s (value 1-CBhex). Tramp = hexadecimalvalue * 0,4sThe ramp will be used for all preset speeds under AS-iparameter F and it is stored in parameter 2 of theinverter.

The setpoint value can reach values between 3,2Hz and650Hz in steps of 3,2Hz (value 1-CBhex).Preset speed 5 = hexadecimal value * 3,2Hz

While using the 8 bit analog profile, the bus timeoutfunction is permanently active.
