WHATWE DOMFC EQUITY IS AN INVESTMENT CLUB THAT MANAGES AN EQUITY-ONLY FUND

POOLED FROM ITS MEMBERS.

Mission statement:

”MFC Equity has the dual aims of educating its members in the art of investing and of applying that

knowledge to achieve the highest absolute returns.”

Education:

We are delivering lectures on various

finance topics, organising workshops and

providing feedback through our senior

members to the juniors in order to

maximise our combined knowledge. Juniors

are analysing and pitching stocks following a

high conviction buy-and-hold strategy beside

managing their virtual portfolios.

Achieving returns:

Each partner invests their own money in the

organisation’s fund which is managed

together. We firmly believe that together we

can generate more in-depth insights, make

better decisions, and thus realise above

market returns.

We pride ourselves on our expertise, but MFC Equity is much more than

We identify potential sources of alpha by employing a growth investing strategy through bottom-up

fundamental analysis. In particular, we analyse five key areas in the following order:

INDUSTRY ANALYSIS

We identify major trends that shape industries, look whether their structures are favourable

and the competition allows to earn above normal returns.

STRATEGIC POSITION

We analyse companies through evaluating their competitive advantages and value proposition

to their customers to select stocks with sustainable business models.

FUNDAMENTALS ANALYSIS

We analyse the company’s profitability, efficiency, liquidity to assess the value created for its

shareholders.

VALUATION ANALYSIS

We look at industry specific multiples to evaluate how the company is valued compared to its

historic average and to the peer group.

INVESTOR SENTIMENT

We determine how the financial community perceives the respective company and whether

the technicals are supportive for an entry point.

Only those companies qualify for our investments that are outstanding in all of the five areas above.

assured, we will teach you from scratch, you only need to bring your passion, an open mind and a

collaborative attitude.

We encourage you to tell us what you think

existing experiences. We suggest you explain

why you think you could be a valuable

member of MFC Equity and what you hope

to gain during your time with us.

The members of the location you applied for

will vote on your candidacy. You should

expect a decision within one or two weeks

from submitting your covering letter.

Interview:You should expect a 60-minute interviewthat will be structured into three parts:1. General questions related to your

background and interest in MFCEquity

2. Questions testing basic financeconcepts and a brainteaser

3. A 5-minute stock pitch followed by a5-minute Q&A session.

Candidates applying to our MacroeconomicResearch Group shall write a 300-wordarticle on an economic or financial topic.
