Modern Ballroom dance is a huge phenomenon concerned with sport, art and a variety of sciences, such as pedagogy, psychology, aesthetics, ethics, sociology and philosophy
Blackpool - one of the oldest resorts in the UK modern type.
The city is considered the birthplace of cars Jaguar. In addition to ballroom dance festival held in Blackpool and another significant event - the festival of light and it lasts for two months
But it became the world famous Blackpool, the primarily international dance festival, which takes place at the end of May. The city becomes a mecca for the best ballroom dancers from around the world, and the festival turns into a global event!
Although, more and more foreign competitors came to Blackpool, it was decided to organize a small
Festival only for British competitors and, in November 1975,the first British Closed Dance
Festival was held in the Empress Ballroom. The name has now been changed to the British National
Championships
History of the development of ballroom dancing in the form in which we know them today - a short , little more than a century . Modern ballroom dance is a synthesis of art and sports
In improving the dance was attended by all the coaches of the world. For example, In 1952, the famous English teacher of ballroom dancing Pierre Lavelle visited Cuba and saw the original version of rumba dancing with additional steps, additional relevant impact in music, when the rhythm of the blows given by castanets, drums. Returning to England, he began to teach the new version as a separate dance.
What is the other good reason to come to the Blackpool?Since 1934 to a holiday invite the known musician or the actor who carries out the opening ceremony. So, since early morning in the city various concepts and representations are held, and with darkness approach all gather for "Switch On" ceremony.
I am interested in what stars think about the Blackpool. I found the interview of Michal Malitovski and Joanna Lyunis, who are Polish, European and world champions among professionals in Latin program and winners of the Blackpool.
Tell us about your feelings regarding Blackpool this year? It's always a great suspense and training so massive ... Because it is the stiff competition in terms of importance, and stress, of course. Also physically it is the most difficult competition, so preparing a little longer, a little different, because we have to go through five rounds, all five dances, with a break of only 20 minutes between them.
I know one more a very beautiful couple. It is Riccardo Cocchi and Yulia Zagoruichenko. Michael&Joanna and Riccardo &Yulia are old rivals
Despite the difference in the English and Russian cultures dance I can certainly prove that they are interdependent with each other!
Both dance culture have made a huge contribution to the popularization of ballroom dancing!
