    Introduction

Internship program is a compulsory 3-credit course, which provides us with the

opportunity to gain our practical knowledge.

Now the world is very much competitive. So everybody has to be expert in his field in

both practical knowledge and theoretical knowledge. As Premier University aims to

build future magnate with the theoretical knowledge as well as practical knowledge of

economic field of our country, Internship course and its report is a significant aspect in

the direction of accomplishing the goal. It is a systematic process for gathering,

recording and analyzing of data about the topic that a student goes to learn on the

program, moreover also know how to connect the theoretical knowledge with the

    practical knowledge.

Basically, the study that I desire to do is conducted to reveal the crucial economic

factor that may affect the import, base on our countrys economic practices, as our

Bangladesh is highly depended on its import.

Since Bangladesh is an import-oriented country and to facilitate the activities, Airtel

Telecom Limited provides all kind of facility and offers auxiliary product that are

related to and those are the core products.

    Method of Collecting Data

In order to fulfill the objectives of the study both Primary and secondary data have been

    collected.

    Primary data collection

I have used three techniques of Primary Resources for my research and they are as

    followed:

    Personal Observation.

    Face to Face Interviews.

    Practical deskwork.

    Personal Observation

Observation is the process of recognizing and noting people objects and

occurrences rather than asking for information. Informal observations remove the

elements of Bias and effect of reaction from research.

    Face to face Interviews

As the field of study is limited within the Airtel Telecom, it was decided that

information will be collected by direct face to face interviews. Face to face Interviews

were held with Mr. Golam Kibria. Business centre Manager of Airtel Telecom ltd,

Chittagong. Mr. Kibria has sufficient working knowledge in Telecom sector and he has

helped me a lot to gather the information about Airtel Telecom .

    14

  • 7/31/2019 Internship Report on Cellphone Operator

    15/46

    Practical Deskwork

When I was working in Airtel Telecom Ltd, I have worked in different department so

far in different desk. While working for the TelecomI have collected the data which I

    need to accomplish the report.

    Second ary data collection

An intensive literature survey was required to acquire relevant knowledge. Relevant

literature like published and unpublished thesis, journals, newspaper, books, reports etc.

have been reviewed with a view to increase the knowledge and regarding the issue.

Above all the storehouse of knowledge, the internet will also be a big part of the

    literature review.

Companys Quarterly Reports, other published information, Synopsisof Printing materials of the AIRTEL TELECOM LTD. and otherrelated reports and documents have been collected from theauthority of the AIRTEL TELECOM LTD.

    Limitations

    15

  • 7/31/2019 Internship Report on Cellphone Operator

    16/46

The findings of the report though reliable to an extent of higher degree but they

cannot be fully accurate due to the following reasons:

    1. This study, which is conducted in a short course of time, is not free of barriers.

Actually this study does not show the existing all but a portion of the factor

    affects the Airtel Telecom.

    2. The budget Time of the study was limited for four months. Within this short

period, I could not study properly about Airtel Telecom Ltd, and respective

    topic in details.

    3. The data required for sufficient analysis for report writing could not be

    collected due to excessive workload.

    4. The Airtel Telecom confidentially keeps the data.

    5. Some of the officer of the center did not co-operate heartily.

    6. The study was not done very successfully due to inexperience.

    7. Supply of more practical and contemporary data is another shortcoming

Normally, if you want to access GPRS/EDGE through your mobile, you need to configure

    your

handset. This makes life complicated - as you have to find out your handset model name, model number, model type etc and enter them into your phone.

To make your life much easier, Airtel offers advanced handset settings. When you insert

your Airtel SIM in your handset for the first time, it automatically initiates a handset

configuration request. If you have a GPRS/EDGE compatible handset you will soon receive

the handset configuration settings through a flash message. When you save this message,

your handset will be automatically configured for GPRS/EDGE

other service sectors, for their quality service and transparency. At past only the some

limited company were in operation and people had no other alternative to go to those

institutions for service. But now the scenario is quite different. A good number of

companies are rendering service and a tough competition exists in this sector. So it is very

important to attract new domain of customers, side by side with regular clients in order to

diversify the customer basket and at the same time increasing profit.

Todays business world is dynamic and ever changing. To cope up with all these changes

and adopt with new scenario a group of skilled and talented workforce is the first

requirement. Airtel Telecom Ltd has rightly focused on skill development of employee and

at the same time introducing technology in almost every step of its day to day activity to

insure prompt and quality service. Besides frequent training program is also conducted by

the Airtel to increase the level of employee efficiency. This should be further strengthened

as there is no alternative of training in telecom sector as here practice and experience along

with training can make the difference.

Airtel Telecom Ltd started its journey in 2007 or A Better Tomorrow. Its friendly and

congenial environment, dedication to service and ability to provide quality, at low cost,

with high efficiency has been able to develop a reputation in market. If all the efforts those

were put forward in past can be employed again with renovation and increased integrity

then we can hope that it will not only be able to build a Better Tomorrow for Itself but

    also for the whole nation.
