Closed circuit video monitoring system (CCVM) is the use of video cameras to transmit a signal to a specific, limited set of monitors.
Differs from broadcast television

IP based CCVM can be said to be a very efficient and reliable method of recording, storing and sharing data with much less fuss as compared to its predecessors
