What is IOT
The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects or "things" embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity, which enables these objects to collect and exchange data.
In 2008 the number of things connected to the internet was greater then the
people living on earth
Within 2020 the number of things connected to the internet will be about
50 Billion

• Samsung purchased a company called SmartThings• IBM was there since a long time, under the banner of
smarter planet• GE came with a commercial called “The boy that
beeps”
