Abstract Submission
Authors are kindly invited to submit a one-page abstract as word or pdf-file by email to [email protected]. Dead-line for abstract submission is 30 October 2013. Notifica-tion of acceptance will be send by email till 15 November 2013. Abstracts will be published on www.dispersion-letters.com
Based on the success of the recent years, the International Workshop offers the exchange of strategies and approaches in the fields of particle and dispersion characterization as well as material testing.
Representatives from different industries and research organization highlight their experiences, methods and solutions, when solving challenges using LUMiSizer and LUMiReader, LUMiFuge, LUMi-Check and LUMiFrac instruments.
The workshop is established as a networking event within the LUM user community and it is proved to be again also very attractive for people attending previous workshops.
People entering the fascinating world of dispersi-ons and particles or starting with the investigation of composite material benefit from first-class infor-mation at first hand, facilitating your current work and future decision.

1. Have achieved signifi cant results in their scientifi c work by using LUM instruments within the last two years.
2. Confi rm the importance of the results by the sub- mission of a copy of the master or doctoral thesis, publication in a peer-reviewed scientifi c journal or detailed description of work (if not published yet).
3. Submit a detailed one-page abstract (see previous page for terms).
4. Accompany a letter of reference by their supervisor.
5. The laureate(s) will be invited to present the results in an oral contribution during the workshop.
The laureate(s) will be informed by the programme com-mittee till 15 November 2013. The award covers the parti-cipation and travel expenses to the workshop, too.
To foster the career of young scientifi c research colleagues (students and gradua-tes) LUM off ers the Young Scientist Award (YSA) 2014. Eligible for YSA are students and young scientists that:
