the accountabilit y groups

To sustain your development between the workshops you will form accountability groups.

Your Accountability Group is a team of 3-4 people who will meet every fortnight for 1.5 hours to discuss each team member’s progress. If there is a lack of progress, they will support you to get back on track. However, if you’re consistently missing your targets, your Accountability Group will let our staff know so they can help.

Page 16: International TEW and PTSTA plus Academy of working as a Teacher or Supervisor in Transactional Analysis. ... values and basic principles we embrace as Transactional Analysts. ...

In a nutshell, your Accountability Group is there as a resource for you to bounce ideas off, to explore your best thinking and to confidentially discuss any issues. The dynamic of any particular group will be governed entirely by the sum of the individual attitudes in the group. Accountability groups don’t work - you MUST work them.

Within the accountability group, you will discuss the homework assignments and supervise each other on your progress in the different domains.

It works better when applied in groups and can be used as a brief therapy technique or as part of a longer in depth psychotherapy. Redecision Therapy is based on: 1) the power in the patient; and 2) the use of humor to have fun through the process of change.
