About Sias International University(SIAS)

Sias International University is the first solely American-owned University in Central China. Founded in

1998, SIAS is established in response to current educational demands. The aim of Sias International

University is to develop diligent and innovative professionals to meet the urgent demands of trans-national

corporations and enterprises. Combining both Chinese educational philosophies with a Western model of

education, international students have access to alternative ways of thinking and learning in China.

The establishment of SIAS has been approved by the State Council and licensed by the Henan Provincial

Education Commission to carry out higher institutional education. It is an accredited university in China.

About School of International Cultural Exchange (SICE)

The School of International Cultural Exchange (SICE) is one of colleges of Sias International University.

We are in charge every aspects of international students of Sias International University, including

admission, enrollment, registration, teaching arrangements, activities, entry and exit visa affairs, etc. There

are approximately 200 overseas students from 16 countries or areas in SICE. The graduates of SICE have

made important contributions to the development of their home countries.

Nowadays more and more overseas students come to China and study in different programs. SICE offers

both degree and non-degree programs for overseas students. Degree programs cover all bachelor degrees

offered in the University, while non-degree programs provide overseas students Chinese Language

Training Programs in various forms. SICE provides good learning conditions for overseas students to

engage in advanced studies. No matter what your educational needs are, SICE can help you achieve your

goals by offering different types of academic programs tailored to meet the needs of today's students living

and competing in a global environment.

Exchange Student Program

Nomination by the exchange coordinator of the partner University is required.

Nomination Letter MUST be enclosed with the rest of documents while filling in online application.

How to Apply

Step1: Prepare your application package.

1. Complete the Application Form on: http://sclc.sias.edu.cn/channels/2828.html.

2. Scan of your passport ID page.

3. Scan of Diploma and Transcripts of your highest level of education.

4. Scan of Blood Test Report and Physical Examination Record for Foreigner in English version.

5.Scan of Non-criminal Report from host university in English version.

6. Scan of A paper with your detailed shipping address. (Recipient’s name, phone number, company,

Dept. / floor, street, city, state/province, country, postal code)

Step2: Send your application package sclcadmissions@sias.edu.cn

After evaluation of your application documents by China government, SIAS will post JW202 form and

admission letter for you.

Step3: Apply for a “Student (X1) Visa” at Chinese Embassy.

As soon as students have received admission letter and the government JW202 from SIAS

International University, student could apply for the “Student X1 or X2 Visa” to China in their home

country from the nearest Chinese Embassy.

Step 4: Get to SIAS

Upon receipt of the student visa, we strongly suggest students to inform SIAS their arrival information

2 weeks ahead, so SIAS could arrange the transportation to pick up students from airport or railway

station when they arrive in China, and assist the student in gaining their residence permit as required by

Chinese law.
