• To master clinical skills with limited laboratory aids• To be able to relate social and economic factors to the cause,

Schulich Research Opportunities
Program (SROP)
• Value: 1-2 awards of up to $5,000.
• Award for 1st or 2nd year undergraduate medical or dental student to
conduct a research project in global health. International projects to
be submitted through the Global Research Opportunities in Health
(GROH) Program
• Projects may be in any area of basic, clinical, educational, or health
services research.
• Projects within Canada will be considered if they are based on
research that is concerned with health matters that are without
borders and involve marginalized or at-risk, high priority populations.
• The student requires a supervisor at Schulich and at an international
host institution.

The Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) / German
Academic Exchange Service is a private, publicly funded, self-
governing organization of higher education institutions in
Germany. DAAD is the German national agency for the support of
international academic cooperation.

Mitacs Globalink
Mitacs is a national, not-for-profit organization that has designed
and delivered research and training programs in Canada for 15
years.
• 12-24 week research project abroad
• A $5,000 research award to the Canadian supervisor to
support student travel and accommodation expenses, research
related expense and student stipends.
• Open to undergrad and graduate students
• Open to all disciplines
• Partner countries: Brazil, mainland China, India, Mexico and
Vietnam

International Learning Award
• Cumulative 80% average with full-time course load at the end
of Year 2, you will automatically be eligible for a $1,000 award
for an international learning experience in Year 3
• Students in a second-entry undergraduate degree do not
qualify (i.e. business, dentistry, law, medicine); BMSc students
are eligible
• Recipients of National Scholarships are not eligible
