History

The Australian Vanlines was founded almost thirty years back. Due to its association with FIDI (Federation of International Movers), it has been following the quality measures strictly. Australian Vanlines has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra, Alice Spring & Perth. It has agency agreements in Adelaide, Hobart, Launceston, Kalgoorlie, Townsville & Northern QLD and Northern WA. It employs more than 250 employee’s, It owns more than 150 Vehicles, 16 Forklifts, 40,000 square meters of storage space, over 3000 storage modules and 500 20ft. containers.

Management

It’s a family owned international corporation. The company is the brainchild of Sid Vallaydam. He is the Owner and Founder of Australian Vanlines. He is also one of the Directors of PAIMA (Pan American International Movers Association). PAIMA is an exclusive network of international moving companies that prides itself on going the extra mile for its members and the customers they serve.

The other crucial members of the management are Sasha Vallaydam, Kegan Vallaydam & Marlon Vallaydam.

Sister Companies

Australian Vanlines has acquired two companies Move Management Australia in 2011 & The Freight Guy, Airfreight Specialists in 2012. Since then Australian Vanlines has been managing the operations of both the companies.

Move Management Australia have its headquarter in Sydney, It specializes in Relocation services. Over the years they have handled corporate relocations. The Freight Guy company operates into sending extra baggage to various parts of the world. It sends boxes, suitcases, backpacks, bikes, surfboards and other goods across the world. The Freight guy offers trusted door to door service, including free packaging and internet tracking to over 200 countries.

Social Responsibilities

Australian Vanlines understands its social responsibility; hence support many charities of the world. The company has founded 'Surf for Happiness (SfH)’. Australian Vanlines is the major partner in New South Wales (NSW) called the ‘Surf for Happiness (SfH)’ initiative, and its counterpart in Queensland (QLD) ‘Pngsurfing’. As of recent both entities have been combined and will be renamed to ‘The Wontok Surfing Foundation (WSF)’.

Due to the positive impact of this project and our high interest in surfing communities, Australian Vanlines also became a member of their board, to supply the infrastructure and logistical services across Australia & internationally for free. Collections take part in both NSW and QLD, with further plans of expansion to other surfing states.
