In the year 2016, the International Hospitality Council in association with International Institute of Hotel Management, took a path-breaking initiative in establishing April 24th as 'International Hospitality Day.'The world needs to embrace hospitality in its many different forms - to understand different cultures as well as differences and sharing of ideas. Hospitality brings people together through sharing and social interaction. It helps to promote and develop a civilised society. The concept of hospitality trade goes to hundreds of years back where travellers would be given food and shelter by strangers in their travel routes and it was believed to be a blessing from God. Year 3 At UK or CANADA

Yes, in fact the most exciting and challenging opportunity that you would get being at IIHM is the year 3, the final year of the programme. While on one hand you would be initiated to the hotel industry world wide, on the other hand, you have the option to study in UK at any of the two very renowned Universities - The University of West London, London and at the Edinburgh Napier University, Edinburgh or you have the option to study in Canada at George Brown College. Hundreds of students have done so in the past and are placed in extremely good positions in hotels all over Europe and US. A number of our students are able to stay on in the UK or in Canada after their studies for employment.

The George Brown College is built right into the city of Toronto, Canada's largest city. Interestingly, most programs have field placement components, which mean that students have a valuable opportunity to work and learn in hotels and other organisations that may be their future place of employment. The hospitality division of GBC is renowned and even has an upscale restaurant, The Chefs' House, open to the public and fully staffed by the hospitality students, is one of Toronto's top 10 restaurants, according to Now Magazine.
