The Secretary General Michel de Vivo explained that new countries are interested in our activities and would probably join ICOLD in the very next future (Kazakhstan, Uganda, Haiti, Laos, Senegal, Congo, Equator…).

President Anton Schleiss reminds that according ICOLD constitution secret ballot voting is mandatory and a method of voting in which the choice of the voter in an election is anonymous, both at the time of the vote and after it.

Pursuant to By-Laws E,e, the Secretary General stated that at the next General Assembly, in 2019, in Ottawa (Canada) two posts of Vice-Presidents would have to be filled (see Table of the history of nominations, Annex 3):

Conformément au Règlement Intérieur E,e, le Secrétaire Général annonce qu'à la prochaine Assemblée Générale, en 2019 à Ottawa (Canada), deux postes de Vice-présidents seront à pourvoir (voir Tableau de l’historique des nominations, Annexe 3) :

a) One post, to take over from Michel Lino (France), whose term of office would expire. Nominations should come from Europe Zone.

b) One 6th post, to take over from J. Zhou (China), whose term of office would expire. Nomination should come from all zones except the Europe zone.

16.1.- ICOLD Innovation Awards 16.1.- Prix de l’Innovation CIGB Honorary Vice-President Leif Lia and President of the Jury presented the ICOLD Innovation award and the statistics on the proposals made (PowerPoint).

The awards will be held during the opening ceremony of the Congress. La remise des trophées aura lieu pendant la cérémonie d’ouverture

Two personalities will be nominated as honorary member of ICOLD. Deux personnalités seront proposées au titre de Membre d’Honneur de la CIGB.
