comprising seven schools and colleges,

renowned research library, and a full-time

faculty of 330 scholars, researchers, scientists,

STUDENT ACCOMMODATION

More than 1,940 students live on campus in

residence halls and suites. Eight residence halls

are tailored to individual needs. Residence halls

accommodate from 40 to 380 students. Some

are traditional-style, offering two-, three-, or

four-person rooms that open onto a common

hallway. All share a large bathroom.

Every residence hall offers lounges for

relaxation or study, as well as snack areas

with vending machines and convection ovens,

and fully equipped laundry rooms.

Student Meal Plan

• Unlimited daily access to the residential

restaurant, and one weekday lunch at the

express restaurant

• $125 Dining Dollars per semester for use at

any on-campus dining facility (extra Dining

Dollars can be purchased at any time)

• Meal options available include: American

Undergraduate programs

Direct entry: Minimum official score of TOEFL iBT 75, IELTS 6.0 or

Pearson PTE 50

Admissions through ESL Transition program: Minimum equivalent of

TOEFL iBT 38/IELTS 4.0 (no official score required)

Graduate programs

Direct entry to most programs: TOEFL iBT 79, IELTS 6.5 and

Pearson PTE 58. Direct entry to MBA, Pre-MBA, M.S. Accounting,

M.S. Taxation, Master of Public Administration, MPA Healthcare

Administration, M.S. Clinical Laboratory Management/Science,

and all Nursing programs: TOEFL iBT 85/IELTS 7.0

Admissions through ESL Transition program:

Minimum official score of TOEFL iBT 56/IELTS 5.5

Graduate students with a lower English level can complete an 8-12

week English course at an Embassy language school in the USA before

acceptance to the on-campus ESL Transition Program, with no official

TOEFL/IELTS score required.

SPECIAL ESL TRANSITION PROGRAM

• Undergraduate and Graduate Transition Programs available

• Usually one or two semesters duration

• Curriculum includes language acquisition (listening, speaking, writing,

etc.), academic preparation (library mentoring program, tutoring

services, labs, test taking skills, note taking) and cultural adaptation

• Opportunity to co-enroll in academic credit courses while improving

English proficiency

• No official TOEFL or IELTS score needed for Undergraduate

Transition applicants

• Undergraduate Transition Program students are issued a five-year

I-20 immigration document

• ESL only fast-track option in the summer semester for Undergraduate

and Graduate students

PRE-MBA BRIDGE PROGRAM

• Non-degree program where students earn the additional 30 credits

needed to equate their three-year bachelor’s degree to a four-year

US bachelor’s degree.

• This program offers the equivalent of the fourth year of undergraduate

coursework necessary to start the MBA Master’s curriculum.

• GMAT is recommended but not required.

• Completion of the Bridge Program does not guarantee students

acceptance into the MBA Program. Students must formally apply for

admission into the MBA program.
