Capability is the inherent capacity or potential for an organization to use its strengths and overcome its weaknesses in order to exploit the opportunities and face the threat in its external environment.

An organization can have many capabilities, such as technological skills, managerial talent, production knowledge, experience with govt. contracts, and customer loyalty.
