Main image• The main image of the magazine cover is usually the interior of living room. It is used to persuade the audience to buy thatmagazine and hoping that this style of room appeals to them. Image for the cover is captured during the day timereflecting different color combinations . Full view shot is taken so that along with the living room other essential elements of the room can also be seen.

MastheadMasthead of interior magazine covers are often bold and catchy to attract audience and entice them to read it. However it always fits the genre of the magazine with it’s colors and font style. If the magazine is fully established , the masthead of the magazine becomes a kind of brand that is easily recognizable.

Cover Lines

As it can be seen in these sample pictures that cover lines tell the audience what will be in the magazine and could be either quotes from interviews or article titles. They often frame the central image. There’s usually a cover line that applies to the main image and explains to reader what the main image is relating too , this is also known as “anchorage text”.
