Although she is native Japanese, her accomplishment as an interior designer is diversified as having international taste.

Her interior design for the Grand Bretagne Presidential Suite was nominated for the “Gold Key Award for Excellence in Hospitality Design” which is considered one of the most prestigious awards for interior design.

Her furniture and carpet design she did for the Mandarin Oriental in Washington, D.C. was featured in Hospitality Trade Shows in Las Vegas (HD Show) and publicized in many trade magazines.

Ventus Design’s first project, Residence at Paiko Ridge won three awards in Hawaii in 2010 and was highly publicized in many National and International magazines and websites (Hansgrohe, Kitchen Trend, Ann Sacks,etc)

Her philosophy is to treat each other as a family member, respect each other and at the same time make the best efforts to gain respect from others, to maintain purity in spirit by not doing anything wrong as a human being and pursue the goal of achieving internal peace.

Her great CNN career was very influential for her to become an interior designer: through her journalism career, she gained capability to sense directions or trends of the society’s needs (which direction and what customers wants in the upcoming years). In terms of creating TV shots, she leaned what is the most impactful and appealing; this reflected on her interior design career. She also gained knowledge of managing team, scheduling and budget.
