აღნიშნული ბროშურის მიზანია, მასწავლებლებს მიაწოდოს ზოგადი ინფორმაცია ინტერკულტურული განათლების და მისი ეფექტური გამოყენების შესახებ სასწავლო პროცესში.აღნიშნული თავის გაცნობის შედეგად მასწავლებელი:- გაეცნობა ცნება კულტურას და მის როლს სწავლა-სწავლების პროცესში;- გაეცნობა ინტერკულტურული განათლების არსს;- სხვაობას ინტერკულტურულ და მულტიკულტურულ განათლებას შორის;- საქართველოს კონტექსტს და ინტერკულტურული განათლების მნიშვნელობას საქართველოს საგანმანათლებლო სისტემისთვის;- საქართველოში არსებულ მრავალფეროვნებას, მის დადებით მხარეებს და უპირატესობებს სწავლების პროცესისთვის;- ინტერკულტურული განათლების პრაქტიკულ საკითხებს, სტრატეგიებს და რეკომენდაციებს სწავლების პროცესში “კულტურულად ადეკვატური პედაგოგიკის” დასამკვიდრებლად.- ინტერკულტურული კომპეტენციების განვითარების მოდელებს, რომლებიც გამოიყენება სასწავლო პროცესში.ინტერკულტურული განათლება უმნიშვნელოვანესია 21-ე საუკუნეში. ინტერკულტურული სენსიტიურობა არ არის ადამიანური ცხოვრების “ბუნებრივი” პროცესი. ინტერკულტურული სენსიტიურობა არ გახლავთ განუყოფელი ნაწილი ადამიანის განვითარების ისტორიული პროცესებისა. კულტურათაშორის კონტაქტს ისტორიულ ჭრილში თან სდევდა სისხლისღვრა, რეპრესია, ეთნიკური წმენდა და გენოციდი. ინტერკულტურული განათლება გახლავთ ინსტრუმენტი, რომლის მეშვეობითაც შესაძლებელია შეიცვალოს ადამიანთა კულტურათაშორისი ურთიერთობების ზემოთ მითითებული უარყოფითი “ბუნებრივი” ქმედებანი.
