• 47.3 million foreign-born residents in the EU (9.4% of the total population)

• 63.4% of the EU residents born abroad come from highly developed countries

• Citizenship of non-EU foreigners residing in the EU: Turkey, Morocco, Albania (1-2.5 mln. each)

WORLD

• World highest net migration rates: Qatar (40.6), Zimbabwe (23.7), United Arab Emirates (16.8) and Singapore (15.6)

• Europe highest net migration rates: Cyprus (10.7), San Marino (8.96), Luxembourg (8.15) and Spain (5.02).
