IntelliLink is Vauxhall’s next-generation infotainment system – specifically designed to support the latest media sources including specific Apple iOS and Android apps. It features AM, FM and Digital Radio and, in lieu of a CD player, will play virtually any digital media thanks to its USB, Aux-in and Bluetooth connectivity. IntelliLink’s 7-inch touchscreen allows easy control of all audio, apps, mobile phone functionality and can also show image and movie files.

This guide will give an overview of the key features of IntelliLink and show you how to set-up those features. For a more detailed overview please see the main manual.

IntelliLink allows the user to view personal photo galleries, slide shows, videos and other stored documents on the IntelliLink screen when the vehicle is stationary. Movies will play the soundtrack through the car speakers.

Connection:

• Plug-in a suitable device via the USB port. Please note: Apple iOS devices additionally use the Aux-in socket to play videos a special connector is available as an accessory.

FUNCTION

IntelliLink brings Apple and Android smartphone apps into the car. Meaning that the apps running on the connected smartphone are mirrored and controlled on the touchscreen/steering wheel controls. Further apps will be added as IntelliLink software updates become available.

At launch, BringGo (an extra-cost navigation app), TuneIn (a free music radio app) and Stitcher (a free talk-radio app) are fully compatible with IntelliLink. Further apps will be added as IntelliLink software updates become available.

TuneIn App:

TuneIn offers a global network of 70,000 mainstream and internet radio stations playing music, sports, and news and a range of on-demand podcasts, concerts and interviews.

Stitcher App:

Stitcher is the leader in internet radio for talk-radio, offering on-demand news, politics, sports, business and entertainment. A wide range of Podcasts are also available.

BringGo App:

BringGo is a European navigation system that provides 2D/3D maps, real time traffic information, enhanced views, lane guidance together with a Google local search function – all shown on the IntelliLink’s touchscreen.

A trial ‘guest account’ is available for £0.69 which gives full access for 30 days. After this trial period you have the option of paying for a full account or using a restricted version of the app.

When using BringGo your phone will prompt you to activate the location service if it’s not already on.

IntelliLink allows customers with compatible iPhones[1] to use Apple’s voice-activated personal assistant – Siri Eyes Free. This application allows users to perform a wide range of tasks without having to take their eyes off the road or their hands off the steering wheel.

Key features allows users to:• Control their iTunes library• Scroll through music sources (AM/FM/DAB/iPod)• Make voice-activated, hands-free calls• Listen to text messages• Compose and send text messages• Access ‘Calendar’ to check or add appointments

Additionally Siri Eyes Free also answers simple questions, but to avoid distractions for the driver, Siri’s web browsing function and the iPhone screen are both disabled whilst connected to IntelliLink.

Please note: Before this function can be used the phone and IntelliLink must be ‘paired’ (see Bluetooth set-up).

IntelliLink features an extensive choice of audio playback options – AM, FM and Digital radio from the unit itself, plus the potential to connect a wide range of other digital media device thanks to its USB and Aux-in sockets together with Bluetooth.

Users with compatible iPhones[1] can use Siri Eyes Free voice activation to control audio functions.

Please note: Despite the wide range of connectivity not every device is compatible. If this happens an error message will appear on the display.

IntelliLink operation:

Siri Eyes Free AudioBluetoothSET-UP

Certain functions with IntelliLink can only be undertaken using a Bluetooth connection. Both the phone and IntelliLink must be ‘paired’ before IntelliLink can access phone data. The pairing can be achieved using Settings [ ] in the main menu.

Phone – activating Bluetooth:

IntelliLink – activating Bluetooth:

After a few moments, the name of the detected phone should appear.

• Tap: [Detected phone] To indicate that this is the chosen phone that requires ‘pairing’.

Pairing Phone/IntelliLink – Pairing:

Phone:• Tap: [Make phone Discoverable]

After a few moments the name ‘Vauxhall’ should appear.

symbol will appear.

Please note: Certain phones will require a PIN code to be entered manually – if this is required a prompt will appear on the IntelliLink’s touchscreen and the code can be entered on the keypad that will appear.

IntelliLink allows users to safely make and receive hands-free phone calls using the integrated Bluetooth mobile phone portal, roof-mounted microphone and steering wheel controls. The majority of the phone’s functions – contacts/last calls/missed calls etc. are mirrored on IntelliLink’s display and are easily navigated using the touchscreen.

Users with compatible iPhones[1] can use Siri Eyes Free voice activation to control phone functions.

Make phone call using keypad:

Make phone call using phone book:

slider on the right hand side of the screen.

• Tap: The chosen contact to begin the call. If there is more than one number listed, a screen appears showing the available numbers – press the chosen number dial.

Make phone call using previous/incoming/missed calls:

• Press: [ ] Home • Tap: [ ] Phone • Tap: [Call History]• Press the appropriate button on the left hand
