revision History

Resolved brightness definition unclear portion by adding TYP , MIN number in brightness defintion. - spread sheet "LPDT 2.0 spec" change to "LPDT 2.1 spec "- Measurement brightness change from "panel only @185 nits " by adding another column with " Display with Touch and Cover Glass @150 nits" due to multi-request from the field. - Modify LPDT 2.1 spec spread sheet from original "Max Brightness @5 point (stand alone) : 400 nits (Min)" to " Max Brightness @5 point : 400 nits (Typ) 340 nits (Min) " and add " Max Brightness @5 point (Panel with Touch and cover glass) : 340 nits (Typ) 290 nits (Min) " cause multi-reqeusts from field. - Add flicker testing only on panel claimed ≤ 40Hz4 Optics measurement also change from original 250 nits to 2 different column- Panel Standalone (inclduing In Cell and On Cell w/o Cover Glass) 300nits : considering system is measuring 250 nits which is expected with touch and stylus- With Cover Glass and Touch or System Module Panel 250 nits : as same reason of abovetable of 13.3-14" change to 13.0 - 14" to cover other size possibility And defined the other resolution critieria by adding wording " Guideline for other resolutions: The power criteria of the next higher resolution, based on the other resolution’s aspect ratio, will be used" and adding an example

Matrix of LPDT 2.1

*1 LPDT 1.0 is assumed panel without touch feature. Power level measurement brightness level is setting as 150 nits as default.*2 LPDT 2.0 Single and Dual Display configuration is assumed as end product brightness is 150 nits ( with Touch/Stylus and cover lens), so Display standalone need to be measured @185 nits *3 Premium Display is Categorized LCD /OLED display with UHD resolution , DCI-P3 95% (Typ) 90% (Min) , HDR 500 or HDR 400 (TB) + Local Dimming as criteria , border (L,R,T) and panel thickness ≤ 2.05mm and Reflection rate <5% is optional *4 LPDT 2.0 for premium display is assumed as end product is 100 nits ( with Touch/Stylus and cover lens). Display standalone need to be measured @ 120 nits *5 PSR2/LRR is required item to test in LCD (PSR2/LRR is optional for OLED) *6 If premium display is OLED type, DPST is not required since this is BLU required power saving function; And DMRRS is also optional*7 Panel stand alone still measure 185 nits for Single and Dual Display/ 120 nits for Premium display if system design is without CG or/and add-on touch. *8 Flicker only test panel which claimed reaching ≤ 40Hz (flicker is not essential to test if panel is >40 Hz )
