SCOTT WISE, FOUNDER & CEO ARMADA CONSULTINGScott Wise is founder and CEO of Armada Consulting. His areas of professional practice include strategic cost management, multidimensional profitability and business analytics, applied to the objectives of reducing costs, maximizing profitability and improving efficiency. Scott has over 20 years experience developing and deploying performance and profitability systems for some of the world’s premier corporations. His demonstrated knowledge of both methodology and technology combined with a collaborative consulting approach have enabled him to become a trusted advisor to executives at several Fortune 500 companies. Prior to founding Armada he held similar leadership positions in consulting and financial services industries.

ROBERT B. MCDONALD, FINANCIAL MANAGER WHOLESALE FINANCE, WELLS FARGO CORPORATIONRobert McDonald is a Financial Manager for Wholesale Finance at Wells Fargo Corporation where he is responsible for the P&L and profitable growth for Treasury Management and other Wholesale Bank product sets. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, he was Director of Financial Services for EMC Global Services where he was an FS Consultant and responsible for a Business Performance Management (BPM) enterprise gateway solution—the combination of periodic Key Performance Indicator (KPI) scorecards and business event process monitoring in real time. Prior to consulting, he was a practitioner as EVP and manager of Bank Operations & Technology for an East Coast bank and SVP at a Texas Bank Holding Co., where he had P&L responsibilities for a combined Bank Operations and Treasury Management business unit concept.

Mr. McDonald holds a BBA degree in Accounting from the University of Iowa, is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Profitability Professional. He is active in several business organizations, including the AICPA, AMIfs, BAI and ABA. He has a diversified background in management accounting and performance measurement systems, as well as senior management experience in Bank Finance, Bank Operations and Technology. This combination provides a unique perspective to establish business performance measurement criteria linked with financial management information results.

KEN LEVEY, INDUSTRY VICE PRESIDENT FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS, AXIOM EPMKen Levey is the Vice President Industry Solutions at Axiom EPM. He focuses on shaping and executing Axiom EPM’s product and business development strategies for banks, credit unions and other financial services.

Ken has over thirty years of experience working in the financial services industry. Most recently, Ken was

the Senior Director, Banking Analytics at SAP BusinessObjects, where he was responsible for developing performance management and analytic applications for the banking industry.

Ken started his career in financial services at Bear Stearns in New York and then became the Vice President of Asset/Liability Management at Seamen’s Bank for Savings. For 17 years, Ken held a senior position at IPS-Sendero (Fiserv) where he lead the development of their Asset/Liability Management system and managed their ALM and Funds Transfer Pricing implementation and consulting departments.

MICHAEL R. GUGLIELMO, MANAGING DIRECTOR DARLING CONSULTING GROUP DCGWith nearly 30 years of experience in strategic risk management, Mike Guglielmo provides technical and strategic consulting to a diverse group of financial institutions in the United States and abroad. Mike is also a frequent author and top-rated speaker on a variety of financial and operational risk management topics.

During his tenure at DCG, Mike has served in various capacities, including director of financial analytics. In addition, he is a technical resource for the ongoing development of many of DCG’s quantitative and strategic risk management products and services. Prior to joining DCG, Mike managed the ALCO and strategic planning processes for a regional bank in the northeast.

Mike is a graduate of Fairfield University with a degree in economics.

INSTITUTE OVERVIEWThe Institute is an outgrowth of the AMIfs mission to be a leader in providing management accounting, financial and economic education for performance information professionals in the financial services industry. The Institute’s curriculum on Performance Management is a basic, comprehensive training program. Students will participate in workgroups on complex, real-world problems. Individuals who successfully complete the one-week program will be awarded the AMIfs Institute’s Certificate of Performance Management. To ensure a maximum learning experience, class size will be limited to no more than 25 students. Speakers will include university professors and financial industry practitioners. The program level is Intermediate, limited prior banking experience is suggested.

AMIfs will provide a special edition of the Journal of Performance Management as advance reading for this course. There are no other pre-requisites or advanced preparation required. The Institute delivery method is group live.
