Where is the mistake?

• Install a Hard/Flash Drive!

• Health and safety - Handling Precautions• Disc drives are fragile. Do not drop or jar the

drive. Handle the drive only by the edges or frame. Keep the drive in the protective anti-static container until you are ready to install it to minimize handling damage.

• Drive electronics are extremely sensitive to static electricity. While installing the drive, wear a wrist strap and cable connected to ground.

• Turn off the power to the host system during installation. Remove all cables.

• Do not disassemble the drive. Doing so voids the warranty.

• Do not apply pressure or attach labels to the circuit board or to the top of the drive.

• What Equipment Do You Need?• A Phillips screwdriver and four 6-32

UNC drive mounting screws.• A Serial ATA interface cable. Maximum

length is 39 inches (1 meter).• A Serial ATA-compatible power cable or

adapter.• A system with a motherboard that has

a Serial ATA connector on it, or a Serial ATA host adapter.

• 3.5-inch internal drive bay.• A version of Windows with FAT32,

exFAT (FAT64) or NTFS file system.

PAT TESTING• Portable appliance testing (commonly known as "PAT",

"PAT Inspection" or (redundantly) as "PAT Testing") is the name of a process for testing electrical equipment.• Testing involves:• A visual inspection of the equipment and flexible cables are

in good condition• Making certain that the equipment is earthed (you do not

want a live wire inside your computer!)• Test of the insulation between the current carrying parts, and

any exposed metal that may be touched.

PAT TESTING• Press these two

buttons (Class 1 and 2) together to turn machine on and off.

• Attach the PAT test power cable to the back of the computer.

• Attach the test lead with the crocodile clip to a metal section at the back of the computer.

• Now press the Class 1 button.

• Fingers crossed – the result is PASS.

• Take a photograph.
