Outline

The Oracle VM deployment process installs an Oracle Enterprise Manager agent intoeach of the Oracle VMs in the topology. You must prepare an Oracle EnterpriseManager 12c Cloud Control instance (Cloud Control for the !iring of these agents.

It is important you taFe screenshots of your install as you !orF through the install of EM12c B this gi&es you the information of ports etc. that is used in the preparationof the deployment properties Dle. It is diGcult to Dnd this information after theinstallation is done.

Where to Install?Em12c install has many pre5re6uisites. He ha&e found it is easiest to install using anOE /-,5,+ it template a&aila le from http$%%edeli&ery.oracle.com%linu/ since thisOracle supplied linu/ has most pacFages pre5installed on it. )o!e&er< you ha&e toadd a disF for a out ?2# 0 so that you ha&e suGcient disF space to install Em12cinto the VM template efore starting the install. He !ould recommend at least 1+ 0memory allocated to use it for the purposes of rehydration. :inally< a time sa&ing tipB you can use the :usion ;pps release + media from http$%%edeli&ery.oracle.com toget the data ase installer since you do!nload this for use in installing the :usion;pplications data ase any!ay.

If you don t use theEM12c for monitoring the :; install after rehydration then you can stop the EM12cser&ices after the rehydration is successfully completed.
