Although the name and location may be new, The Style Academy is rooted with extensive history in Regina, formerly known as Richard's Beauty College, established in 1961. e Style Academy defines itself through its commitment to excellence and innovation in hair, nails, makeup, esthetic and fashion education. The education team provides mentorship that equips students with the skills needed to grow into successful professionals with maximum earning potential. Their programs instil essential life skills, professional development, personal growth and coaching that will enable students to achieve their goals. TSA has built an award-winning team of entrepreneurs, salon managers, business owners and event creators. is group of successful and talented industry professionals are passionate about sharing their knowledge with a new generation. Bringing their own strengths and specialties, each educator is an integral part of our students’ journeys. Offering a state-of-the-art facility, The Style Academy extends the classroom experience beyond its doors through collaboration with experienced industry professionals, guest educators and presenters. Students connect with local salon and spa owners, through tours of their spaces, as well as work experience opportunities. TSA celebrates student achievements through rewards programs and a formal graduation celebration, and builds culture with group activities such as lunches in the park and pancake breakfasts.

To enhance their technical and professional skills, student’s experience interactive learning by performing public guest services, collaborating with special events organizers and theatre companies, and collaborating on photo shoots.

The Style Academy remains dedicated to alumni and industry professionals providing advanced and continuing education to ensure awareness of emerging trends and guidance to achieve excellence in their careers. With a growing interest in barbering, TSA now o� ers workshops focusing on fades and shaves for licensed hairstylists in addition to our 10-month hairstyling programs. The Style Academy also offers specialized coaching to prepare students for entrance to competitions such as Skills Canada, Allied Beauty Association and additional training for Journeyperson examinations.

New to TSA this year is spa education for everything from manicures, pedicures, waxing, facials and more, delivered with a � exible schedule that suits students’ busy lives. Applied certificates can be earned over time until the credits required to complete full certi� cation are achieved. � is opens up new opportunities for students

in full time positions or looking to balance their time and � nancial investment for education.

Fashion design education is growing from basic beginner sewing classes to pattern drafting and garment creation. � e � rst group of fashion design graduates will be showcasing their collection at the runway show during Saskatchewan Fashion Week 2017 on � ursday, May 11th.

Public services — ranging from scalp massages and blowouts to colours, facials, body wraps, nails and more — are offered from 50 to 70 per cent below salon pricing. Students o� er services six days a week, with options for evening appointments. � e eager talent creates the perfect atmosphere for group bookings and youth birthday parties, as well. And because TSA is dedicated to giving back to the community, they have a fundraising program, in which up to six organizations can create events with mini salon and spa services that help them raise money for their initiatives.
