Printmaking - Poinsettias

Materials:Liquid tempera paint (red, blue, yellow, white)Sponges (petal shapes)Cotton swabs Cookie TraysCartridge /Construction paperNewspaper (for desks)


Start with the ‘CENTRE’ of the flowers…Use yellow tempera paint and cotton swabs to create dots for the flower centres: • 3-4 centres• Not too close to edge (leave space for petals)


Printmaking – Using Sponges to ‘Stamp’

• Dip (or brush) paint onto sponge• Press sponge around centres of each flower• Add leaves with smaller sponges
