As provided in Para 3.85 a register of thesurvey equipments and furniture supplied toPatwaris should be maintained in form P-ll

When thePatwaris come to the tehsil in September,they should bring their registers with themand the tehsil office kanungo shouldcompare them with his copy, note the resultof the comparison in the last column of thelatter, and make any corrections that may benecessary.Any loss of survey equipment should beimmediately reported by the Field Kanungoto the Tehsildar, who will, if the loss hasbeen due to the patwaris negligence, orderthe replacement of the quipment by thepatwari concerned, and in other cases reportto the Deputy Commissioner for itsreplacement at Government expense.b) A register in form P.ill given inAppendix"C" should also be maintained byeach patwari showing the records in hiscustody. It should be in the same volume asthe register in form P.ll, but no consolidatedcopy of it need be kept at the tehsil nor needit be checked by the Tehsild Office Kanungoexcept under special orders of the Collector.

As per Para 3.86 maintenance of otherregisters in the forms prescribed in Appendix"D".

Total 14 registers have been prepared in theprescribed proforma, all are incomplete,hence needs immediate compliance.

Remarks: Overall the performance of the Patwari is satisfactory. However thefollowing instructions be adhered strictly in letter & spirit.

i) Name of Patwar Circle, & Patwari be displayed on the board in the premises ofPatwarkahan. 4i

ii) The Patwari will also maintain a file called "File of instructions" in which he willplace copies of all orders and instructions received by him. He should enter in hisdiary the receipt of such orders and instructions. Occurrences to be noted in diaryas envisaged in para 3.77 of the H.P .Land Record Manual. In addition to theRoznamacha Waqiati and Roznamcha Karguzari,maintained by each Patwari, heshould maintain a diary of his movement called Roznamcha Harkat(movementdiary).

iii) The movement diary should remain with the Patwari as long as at hisheadquarters but before he leaves his headquarter he should after makingnecessary entry in it.

iv) Copy of Service Guarantee Act be kept in the Patwarkhana & record be keptsystematically.

v) Visit of Patwaris outside his office: when the Patwari is away from his office forany official purpose such as inspection of girdawari, preparation of tatimas, visit toTehsil Office and to attend Revenue, Civil or Criminal Courts or otherwise, heshall display out side the office, an intimation of such visits/absence ,on the"Notice Board" in his handwriting, for the information of general public. ThePatwari should submit at once a report in writing regarding report of calamity ordisease.The reports must be transmitted without delay within three days throughthe Tehsildar to the higher authorities.

vi) Repair of Patwarkhana be done immediately and Utilization certificate be sent tothe quarter concerned within stipulated period.

vii) The Patwari should discharge his duties faithfully and honestly and maintainabsolute integrity and should be available in the office on the designated days.

viii) The cleanliness in the Patwarkhana be ensured.

ix) The Patwari Should keep a record of the Various income certificate reports issuedby him, so as to know on record as to what income has been ascertained forvarious applicants.
