SL probe:• Body in polypropylene, nickel plated brass or stainless steel• Threads: taper or parallel BSP and taper NPT in sizes 3/8” – 1½”

• Pressure 6 bar max• Temperature 100°C max• Standard lengths 500mm, 1000mm and 1500mm

The SL conductive probes and VNR220 signalamplifiers have been developed to work as acomplete system, able to detect liquids with aminimum conductivity of 1µS.

Valco has designed the probe and amplifier to function as astand-alone system with built in functions such as self testingand fine tuning to enable the system to detect specific liquidswith a high level of accuracy.

To set the level switchpoints simply cut the probesto the required lengths andthen trim back the insulatingcoating to expose the innerrod making sure the‘ground’ rod is always incontact with the media.

Mount into the tank, connect to the VNR unit and trim thesensitivity if necessary to ‘fine tune’ the system to achieve longlasting, accurate level control.

Occasionally liquids can coat the rods ‘insulating’ them from themedia. Valco has developed a simple ‘in-situ’ test procedure toevaluate the condition of the rods enabling the system to workefficiently only needing maintenance when necessary.

The TSK series of thermocouple terminals can beused to extend thermocouple measuring circuitswithout introducing errors caused by incompatiblejunction materials.

This range is available for use with T, J, E, K, S & R typethermocouples. The busbars on the thermocoupleterminals are made of the same materials as thecompensating line. This ensures the thermocouplesignals are transmitted accurately on the junctionbetween the thermocouple, terminal andcompensating lines.

Each terminal pair comes pre-assembled and isclearly labelled to make easy identification againststandard terminals.

The new Ex e combo box is designed to fitperfectly next to an Ex d enclosure with the twobolted together to provide a lightweight andflexible solution.

Less expensive Ex e components can be mounted in the combo boxsuch as terminals and HMI’s. You can use easier to install Ex e glands tomake your connections with the flexibility that additional glands can beadded at a later stage if required. The boxes are simple to machine, haveless screws to fasten and the combo box can be quickly accessed forinstallation and maintenance without having to open the Ex d enclosure.

The biggest saving comes because you can now use a much smaller Ex d enclosure to house only the non Ex components. Once assembledand connected the Ex d enclosure should never need to be openedagain greatly reducing the risk of compromising protection.

Crouzet Automation has launched the em4, a high-performance nano-PLC that is able to communicate as part ofthe “Internet of Things”.

The innovative em4 constitutes a significant growth platform forOEMs and integrators who are looking for an easy way to movetheir application into the digital era. It also provides a new, ready-to-use infrastructure along with an ecosystem of online tools and services, the em4 lab, creating new added value for theircustomers.

The em4 series is comprised of three different models, each with a different level of connectivity. The top of the range em4 remote isfully connected to the secure infrastructure, including a SIM card,

the em4 web and em4 app with a one year subscription. The mid-range em4 alert is capable of sending SMS or email alertsand the em4 local is for applications that do not require remotecommunication or require only a local area network.

The em4 uses 24VDC control, has 26 I/O including 4 configurabledigital inputs (20KHZ Encoder or 60KHZ high speed counter) 12 digital or analogue inputs including 4 configurable (0-10V, 0-20mA or 4-20mA) and 8 relay outputs (2 x 6A, 6 x 8A).

Programming the units could not be simpler using the em4 soft.Function specific blocks as well as remote and alert specificfunction blocks offer a quick drag and drop style of programmingand with an internal memory for up to 1000 blocks.

‘Switched on’to innovationStego has launched the new DS013 door switch tocomplement their range of enclosure products.

The door switch can be easily fitted and provides a flexibleswitching solution for panels and cabinets. It can be used forexample to control lighting, heating and cooling circuits within apanel and removes the potential of forgetting to reinstate thesecircuits after maintenance.

The DS013 has a high breaking capacity of 10A at 240VAC,adjustable positioning without the need of tools and a double cablestrain relief system.

The range is available in three versions; NO, NC or NO/NC.
