As one of the most important tasks for our museum was to develop educational programs and support the development of the touristic offer of Knjaževac region.

The Educational Adventure presents special educational program of the Knjaževac's museum and specific

touristic product of the town

The Educational Adventure is organized In

• cooperation with local partners , • The facilities of the museum, • Old village schools,• nature.

The Educational Adventure

•Is based on the specific cultural and natural heritage!

•It has various and numerous educational and creative activities•It is for children, students and families with kids

• It will give you and opportunity to „Search for the treasure“,

(by foot or on the bike).

•During the adventure, one can become: pottery maker, archaeologist, conservator or painter (in the workshops for kids and older ones...

•You can follow the Timok Valley and you will come to the mountain village Balta Berilovac and old village school! There you can:•Prepare traditional meals,•Learn about orienteering, •See what is weaving, •Learn old Shepard’s games.

•Turn your self to the healthy life styles , join us in the adventure!•On your disposal from the July 2012.

But we wanted to develop more so we had to learn more with a help of colleagues

To do the Time Travel

We did not have all that is necessary at the beginning

But thanks to our partners Kalmar läns Museum and C31, and the Swedish Institute who financially supported this project

we prepared the Time Travel program on Timacum Minus

Discussing the subject of war and peace, based on the historical situation dating from the 4th century A.D.

And we discussed a lot during and after the Time Travel programs…

So we decided that we will continue to Time Travel and develop scenarios not only to learn about past, but also

to use this method as a powerful tool for debate and open dialogue, as well as for further development of

the educational and creative programs in the Homeland Museum of Knjaževac
