Why InnoVision?

We will take Mazatzal’s success personally and we will fight relentlessly to get you the

results you want.

We don’t say no; our mantra is “Just Say Yes.”

We are driven by passion; we are not motivated by money.

Our team is going to build a great long-lasting friendship and business relationship with the

Mazatzal team.

We will over-service Mazatzal to a degree you have never experienced before. Guaranteed.

And all of this and more makes us the country’s only anti-agency®

How the Anti-Agency® Came to Be

With over 30 years of experience in marketing and while working as the Vice President of

Marketing for Valley View Casino & Hotel, Ric Militi was approached by former clients, media

professionals and peers who were frustrated with the current state of the industry, asking him to

venture back into the agency business. When Ric inquired why, they responded that agencies

continued to let down business owners by over-promising and delivering poor results, leaving

them disappointed, cynical and deflated. With no foreseeable alternative in the Southern

California market, prominent business owners explained they continue to invest time and money

in agencies that fail to provide results simply because they see no other option. In hopes of

finding a solution and filling a void, Ric and the team at InnoVision created a new type of

marketing firm founded using a sales approach and focused on a high level of client service.

The Country’s Only Anti-Agency® – InnoVision.

As such, InnoVision refutes the “historical agency” stigma by putting service first and believing

that a “Just Say Yes” attitude will lead not only to guaranteed client satisfaction, but to more

creative thinking, new innovations and complex ideation. And it worked. Years of experience

coupled with passion for the profession and a client-first approach have encouraged the rapid

growth of InnoVision with a highly positive, diverse and nurturing culture that serves as the

foundation for the development of proven strategies. Modeled after a New York agency in style,

scope and intensity, but headquartered in sunny San Diego, InnoVision encompasses the best

of both coasts with clients based throughout the United States. In the coming years, InnoVision

aspires to continue to meet the needs of companies seeking a marketing partner not looking to

profit from their business, but rather to personally invest in and grow it.

The Anti-Agency® Approach

1. We Will Run With Mazatzal

We believe in a partnership with flexibility and no red tape.

We will be Mazatzal’s biggest supporter and cheerleader; there is no limit to what you

can achieve with the right team behind you.

2. We’re Interested Only In Your Long-Term Success, Not Our Short-Term Profit

At InnoVision, we believe in growing your business long-term by investing in its

foundation. We will immediately over-invest our resources and man-hours in making

your business successful. We will not count hours. Ever.

Building on a long-term relationship leads to a partnership that can stand the test of time

and ultimately lead to more success for us, but more importantly, greater success for

Mazatzal.

3. When It Comes To Billing, There Are No Surprises

Consider InnoVision your in-house marketing firm and use our team’s capabilities in

whatever capacity you see fit. We won’t charge you for every little thing you ask us to do.

4. We Under-Promise And Over-Deliver

At InnoVision we never promise more than we can deliver – we don’t need to because

we provide real and measurable results for your investment.

Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s all you’ll get. Two of our favorite words are “added” and

“value,” and we are particularly adept at stringing them together to consistently exceed

your expectations by over-delivering on every promise we make.

5. We Are Selective

When looking for an agency, companies are selective. Who wouldn’t be? Mazatzal

represents the fruits of your labor and it is important that the marketing firm you choose

furthers your brand objectives.

At InnoVision, we only work with visionaries – partners seeking to forge a new path,

push the boundaries and even reinvent their own industry. We work with honest and

passionate people.

Page 4: InnoVision Review

4

6. We Take Suggestions And Revisions Happily And Constructively, Not Personally

As a partner, we encourage collaboration and changes to anything and everything we

produce.

We believe partnership and collaboration propels work from good to great.

7. We Take Things That Matter To You Very Personally

We’ll get down and dirty with your business, digging deep to understand the bare bones

that construct its foundation.

We don’t just stop at negotiations; we monitor advertising and personally review all

affidavits to ensure our media partners are not only delivering but over-delivering on our

schedules. We won’t stop until you’re successful.

8. We Don’t Power Off, We Power Through

This means if you’re open, we’re open. If you have a question, we have an answer or will

find an answer, whether it’s noon or midnight.

Have an emergency and need to reach someone at 2am on a Sunday? We’re always

ready to take your call or respond to your email quickly and help you – we are available

24/7, it is part of our mission to offer customer service that is unmatched.

9. We Invest Your Money

We will personally fight for your company, maximizing the media and assets we get for

your hard-earned dollars.

When it comes to negotiating, we’re fearless. Your investments are our investments and

that makes it personal.

10. You’ll Meet Our Team

We’re confident in our capabilities and culture; we believe in building a lasting

partnership between our team and the Mazatzal team. We want our team to hear

everything straight from you so they feel your passion.

When you communicate directly with the people responsible for the visual and textural

representation of your brand through marketing, it leads to a superior product and

concept that clearly portrays your business the way it is intended.

The InnoVision Team

Since its inception in 2012, InnoVision has grown its top-talent team to 23 members, all from

diverse backgrounds and key industries. As one of Southern California’s fastest-growing

marketing firms, each team member is carefully selected, passing through several rounds of

rigorous interviews, to ensure that they are the right fit for the team. Each team member shows

a passionate, positive and innovative attitude and brings something different to the table while

maintaining the highest levels of ethics and integrity. When you love what you do, it doesn’t feel

like work, and we all love what we do. We pride ourselves on never turning off our phones and

allowing client accessibility at all hours of the day because we believe your business deserves

our attention at any hour. On the next few pages you will find the team members who would be

working directly with the Mazatzal team and assisting with every aspect of your brand from

creative direction to media and beyond. Each of these team members are available to the

Mazatzal team 24/7 and will dedicate as much time as necessary to meet your needs and make

your campaigns successful.

Ric Militi, CEO & Creative Director

In 1989, Ric opened up his own agency after working as a

Marketing and Sales Director in his early twenties. He has

worked with iconic brands including Pennzoil, Corona,

Kahlua, Nissan, Disney, DreamWorks/SKG, Harrah’s, the

Rio Hotel & Casino, Universal CityWalk and many more.

Nine years ago while living in Los Angeles, Ric was

recruited to create and manage an in-house advertising

department for a new casino in San Diego – Valley View

Casino. Under Ric’s guidance, the casino grew into one of

the most reputable and successful casino brands in the

country.

His success attracted a lot of attention in the Southern California market and Ric found himself

being regularly approached by media professionals, marketing colleagues and business

executives suggesting that he return to the marketing world, as there were many companies

interested in benefiting from his unique, straight-forward and results-oriented philosophy.

Armed with a unique understanding of marketing from both the in-house and agency sides, Ric

felt he could take this perspective and open a new kind of marketing company – an “anti-

agency®” – that could bring better results and service to companies in need of assistance. As

CEO and Creative Director, Ric plays a strategic role in every single account. His personal

interest in the success of each client and each team member that works at InnoVision combined

with a hands-on, sales-oriented approach has garnered huge results.

Ric has frequently presented to a wide array of audiences, lecturing on branding including the

relationship between the corporate and personal brands, the elements of a brand and the

process by which a brand takeaway is created. He has presented to local NBC and CBS

stations; major corporations including Valley View Casino & Hotel, Massage Envy Spa and

Swinerton Builders.

13

Capabilities & Qualifications

Campaign Planning

Our process requires understanding Mazatzal – your services, the people within your

organization, the guests you have and the ones you’ve lost. To achieve this we implement our

UREEL process. We have successfully implemented this process with all of our clients.

Understand - we work with you to identify your brand’s current position in the casino and

hospitality industry and your future goals.

Research - we research your geographic market area(s) and your direct competitors.

Educate - we work side by side with your marketing team to ensure all marketing efforts

aligns with the brand.

Experience - we personally experience your products and services to better understand the

brand’s unique selling points and how to best communicate them.

Learn - we learn the day-to-day operations and would immerse ourselves in the Players

Club member and new guest experiences, as well as experiencing the competition.

Media Strategy

After completing UREEL, we take what we learned and begin the media buying process. We

develop a Request for Proposal (RFP) customized to address the goals, objectives and

target market of Mazatzal and clearly outline our expectations for our media partners.

This proprietary process delivers incredible value and return on investment. We develop

comprehensive annual media plans that incorporate much more than just “spots and dots.”

Page 14: InnoVision Review

14

In addition to an effective spot and/or print schedule, our media plans deliver personality

endorsements, digital elements, in-program messaging, live events, promotions and high

traffic media website exposure, all created specifically and exclusively for Mazatzal and all at

no incremental cost to you.

Rate Negotiations

With extensive experience in the Marketing and Advertising industry, our team has built an

extensive network of partnerships and associations.

These partnerships allow us the ability to create exclusive cross-promotions and maximize

advertising, sales opportunities and strategic alliances for your brand.

Our strong national relationships in the media industry have created lasting bonds and

friendships which allow us to negotiate rates and added value elements available

exclusively to our clients.

Media Planning

As our client we would work with you to develop your annual media plan, tailored to promote

all aspects of your services, promotions, events, and your Players Club program, to your

target demographic. We would also ensure the media schedules are adjusted for industry

seasonality.

Page 15: InnoVision Review

15

Historically, some agencies will try and impress you with low CPP, high frequencies and

schedules created by software programs and algorithms. At InnoVision, we take a holistic

approach to media planning and thoroughly research media opportunities in your markets to

identify what, when and where your target audience is watching, reading and listening.

We utilize both quantitative and qualitative data, psychographics and competitive analysis to

formulate a well-rounded and thorough approach that will produce quality results.

Media Buying (Investing)

We prefer the term “investing” rather than “buying” since we invest your money in order to

grow your business and provide ROI.

We consider media buying one of our key strengths, as we have experience planning and

buying a wide variety of media in markets across the country.

We constantly ask our media partners for more and make them earn your business by

pitting them against each other via the RFP process in a reverse auction. This competition

ensures we secure the best rates and added value for you.

But the process doesn’t end with executing media. We monitor schedules, endorsement

airchecks and spot placement to ensure our partners are always over-delivering. We also

verify that all invoices and affidavits are accurate and provided in a timely manner.

We treat your money as if it were ours. We monitor the placement of every dollar and

account for every penny.

Page 16: InnoVision Review

16

Social Media and Reputation Management

We approach Social Media and Reputation Management as a social element to your overall

marketing mix and believe that when properly executed and managed it can be an effective

open platform to communicate and engage with your current and future Players Club

members.

Our social media team will research industry trends, analyze traffic and engagement reports

and create unique content that speaks directly to your target market. They will also monitor

interactions on a daily basis and respond as necessary, utilizing the brand voice.

Social media calendars are created on a monthly basis and would be submitted to the

Mazatzal team for prior approval.

Campaign Measurement

Provided you are able to share data, we measure the effectiveness of our media campaigns

and marketing efforts by analyzing Year-Over-Year (YOY) guest visits, frequency of guest

visits, player spend, Players Club card sign-ups, hotel, food and beverage sales, and more.

We also monitor the effectiveness of promotional web banners and other digital elements

through open rates, click-through rates, time spent on site, and landing pages.

Page 17: InnoVision Review

17

We understand financials such as P&L, earnings and returns. Many of our clients trust our

team with their financials so we can monitor results and make adjustments to our campaigns

when necessary.

Creative Development & Design

We can conceptualize, develop, create and produce all of Mazatzal’s marketing elements,

from the smallest design job and print ads to complete television and radio commercial

production.

We have experience working with both local and national brands and customizing creative

to align with different regional and demographic needs while still upholding the brand.

We can be your complete creative development and design team or supplement and

support the internal Mazatzal departments with overflow.

In the appendix you will find samples of our creative work, including print, direct mail, digital,

radio and TV for your review. Once we have a better understanding of your brand and goals

we would develop a creative strategy.

Page 18: InnoVision Review

18

Brand Development, Representation & Positioning

Whether you’re expanding into another market, launching a new campaign or repositioning

an existing one, we can assist you with all your branding needs.

Our team has experience successfully launching and positioning iconic brands including

Pennzoil, Corona, Kahlua, Disney, Nissan, the Rio Hotel & Casino, DreamWorks/SKG and

more.

One of the success stories of which we are most proud is Valley View Casino & Hotel. In the

past nine years, members from the InnoVision team have helped to grow the casino into one

of the largest and most profitable casinos in Southern CA as well as branding the casino as

"San Diego's favorite." Valley View currently wins an average of 15 industry and local voting-

based awards per year including Best Casino, Best Players Club and Best Promotions.

Customer Relationship Management

Understanding your former, current and potential Players Club members and their habits,

likes and hot buttons enables you to maximize your most valuable assets.

With careful organization, analysis and segmentation, we will develop offer-driven programs

utilizing your database to strengthen your end-users’ loyalty and improve retention.

Page 19: InnoVision Review

19

Day-to-Day Interactions

One of our key strengths is communication. We are highly specialized communicators and

will provide the Mazatzal team with annual, monthly, weekly and even daily updates on the

status of your advertising campaigns.

Not only will we provide you with updates on your media campaigns, we will also send you

industry related reports, recaps and updates on ongoing projects.

You can consider us part of your team; we are accessible to you 24/7 whether you need to

communicate in person, by phone or via email. We will even make house calls to ensure

you have the answers and support you need when you need it.

Sponsorships & Event Marketing

Our team has extensive experience identifying and developing strategic sponsorships and

partnerships to align your brand with strong national and local brands, including sports

teams, local partners and non-profits, leveraging their brand equity.

Our team has experience supporting casinos with promotions and both public and VIP

events.

Multi-Cultural Marketing

Understanding cultural shifts, our team studies demographic and psychographic data to

identify the local target market. A key strength is our unique approach and ability to target

various demographics and ethnicities within different markets.

We have successfully executed bi-lingual media campaigns in various regions driving non-

English speaking traffic for clients.

Page 20: InnoVision Review

20

Finances & Billing

We understand that you have requested an excel spreadsheet outlining a typical month of

services. As the anti-agency, we do not believe in nickel and diming our clients. Therefore,

we do not charge hourly rates or fees, but instead will work with your team to develop a flat

monthly retainer that would encompass all services and capabilities based on your needs.

We are financially stable with zero debt. We also have impeccable credit with our media

partners and third party vendors, which enables us to purchase substantial amounts of

media throughout the nation.

Our average annual billing is $20,000,000 and has increased significantly year over year.

We will provide full reporting and affidavits on all media spend on a monthly basis. We are

100% transparent and can provide as much or as little information as you need.

We will obtain a standard 15% agency discount from our media partners to serve as

InnoVision’s fee for media services rendered to Mazatzal.

Conflicts

InnoVision, LLC has no real or potential organizational or individual conflicts of interest with

Mazatzal. The only other casino property InnoVision currently works with and provides

marketing services to is Valley View Casino & Hotel. InnoVision CEO Ric Militi has had a

relationship with the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians for over a decade.

This relationship was addressed with both parties, Mazatzal and Valley View Casino &

Hotel, prior to initiating the intent to submit process.

Page 21: InnoVision Review

21

Media Plans

Phoenix and Tucson DMAs

Below is an outline of a high level media plan. Once we receive a budget and a clear

understanding of Mazatzal’s goals and objectives, we would develop a full-scale media plan

with a detailed strategy. Creative would be customized to the medium and to the market as well

as to the end user.

Cable TV – A two to three week schedule per month on targeted networks and dayparts that

index well with our target market across both DMAs and runs when those individuals are

watching television.

Broadcast TV – Two week schedule per month on two to three local television networks in

each market, including Non-Traditional Revenue (NTR) elements such as content

integration and sponsorships.

Radio – Two week schedule per month on four to six total radio stations that rank and index

well with your target market. Schedules would include on-air personality endorsements,

digital elements, promotional tie-ins and event inclusion. Radio stations would be chosen so

that both Phoenix and Tucson markets have ample radio coverage.

Pandora Radio – An campaign on Pandora would run consistently throughout each month.

Schedules will be accompanied by 300x250 and 500x500 banner ads. Creative can be

tailored so that different genders, age brackets and/or geographic areas hear different ads.

Direct Mail – We recommend a direct mail campaign with both postcard and newsletter

options to both current Players Club cardholders as well as potential new guests.

Campaigns would run approximately once per month.

E-Mail Marketing – An email campaign utilizing a verified third party database would deploy

to targeted individuals who align with your target demographic. We recommend multiple

deployments to the same group. We have the option to scrub this list against your current

database to ensure that only potential new guests would receive these emails. A report is

generated at the end of each campaign to help us refine the next campaign. Campaigns

would run approximately once per month.

Digital – We would utilize digital advertising such as banner ads and pre-roll video on

computers, smart phones and tablets. We would employ hyper local targeting, retargeting,

behavioral targeting and geographic fencing to ensure that we are using qualitative and

quantitative data to reach your target demographic. Reports are generated and elements

are adjusted on a weekly basis. Campaigns would run consistently throughout each month.

Dear John,

On behalf of all of us at InnoVision, thank you for the opportunity to introduce ourselves to you

and your organization. When I received the news that we were going to receive an RFP from

you I was elated. To have the opportunity to help Mazatzal achieve its goals and realize its

vision would not only be fulfilling a personal goal, it would be an exciting challenge and an

unbelievable honor.

As you may have read in my bio, I have been fortunate to have worked with many great brands

and alongside many successful entrepreneurs and businesspeople thus far in my career. So I

wanted to take a moment and speak on behalf of our team here at InnoVision. When I think of

every person here at InnoVision that I have the privilege of working with every day, I can only

ask myself “What did I do to deserve it?” I can honestly say that in all my years I have never

seen a more dedicated, caring, trustworthy, loyal and kind group of people in my life. Their

pursuit of excellence and their genuine care and passion towards what they do here every

minute of every day for our clients is truly incredible to me.

I say all this because I think it’s probably the most critical point in this entire RFP, because after

all, life is about the people we encounter daily. Each experience and interaction plays such a

critical outcome in not only the work we all do, but whether or not we drive home with a smile on

our face and wake up eager to do it all over again with a passion. I assure you, those are the

people you will find here at InnoVision and I hope we have the honor to meet you all soon,

whether it be for this reason or any reason.

I wish you the greatest success in your search and all the best always.

Sincerely,

Ric Militi
