“The IN”…the official Enewsletter of ‘BlackHand’ ‘BlackHand’ ‘‘BlackHand’ NOVEMBER 2012 VOL 2, ISSUE 11 4 5 From The Nest… HEY NOW… For this month’s newsletter & considering the holiday…we’d like to take some time to reflect on a great year so far, and let all of you & the venues who support us know how THANKFUL we are!!! It NEVER ceases to amaze us, that with so many daily headaches to overcome & so many choices for entertainment…that you take time to follow, enjoy, & support the music of BLACKHAND! Your deadication to us & support of our schedule makes us feel extremely fortunate, and is the source of our inspiration to continue forward with new musical explorations & compositions!! “Two kinds of gratitude: The sudden kind we feel for what we take; the larger kind we feel for what we give.” ~Edwin Arlington Robinson Thanksgiving is our favorite holiday. There are no gifts to buy, no strange costumes to wear, no coloring and hiding of things, etc…just a time to enjoy friends and family and be thankful for them and all we have. Alex is thankful for her mother, who always supported her decision to play percussion, for her children who often give up time with her so that she can have that wonderful couple of hours behind those drums, & for all the other drummers that she’s met who were willing to share their stories, knowledge and experience with me…& for the folks she gets to share the stage with. (“I am most thankful for my wonderful Zig for being on this amazing journey with me.”-Al) I’m sure I can speak for John & Kyle, when I say that we are completely honored by each of you, and the time & confidence you invest when sharing your excitement for BLACKHAND!! We wish for each of you obnoxious amounts of good fortune & health... and more Peace, Light, Blessingz, & Love than anyone could hope to stand!! There is no ‘Us’, without ALL of ‘You’!!
