Sustained noise makes us nervous and sick. With ventilation systems from EcoVent windows may remain closed - we will have peace and quiet in the house.

Pollen and harmful particles being outdoors. It provides a healthier indoor without swollen mucous membranes, cough and sneeze attacks.

Dust from the streets and roads no longer problems. The dwelling is easier to maintain and clean.

Continuous removal of the humid air makes it impossible for dust mites to live ... ...

… and molds belong to the past

John Steen Jensen started in 1994 to fabricate various types of ventilation systems. Common to these facilities was to be heat recovery. The company has always been very pro-development, and stand today with a wide range of energy efficient appliances. We also wish to develop customized solutions. In 2007 came Jorn Kristensen into the owners of the company. Our vision is to create the most energy-efficient appliances and total solutions. We produce our efficient ventilation systems in Viby close to Aarhus, Denmark.

With EcoVent ventilation systems you are sure that, around the clock, there is always clean and healthy air indoor. The CO2, degassing from the chemical building materials, odors and moisture-loaded air, is sucked away from the house through the kitchen, scullery, bath and toilet. Fresh filtered air is heated in the effective heat exchanger and injected dwelling accommodations. All EcoVent ventilation aggregates conform to the new "Building regulation BE08". Our aggregates is mainly used in many low-energy houses and passive houses. EcoVent has also aggregates for offices, institutions and other buildings where you want a good indoor climate. We can move from around 50 - 4000 m3 of air per hour.

A ventilation system from EcoVent get you around the clock a cleaner and healthier air in the dwelling. Asthmatic sheep best chance to recover.

Energy savings and a healthy indoor. So we feel comfortable.

We have in Denmark, through the Kyoto Protocol of 1997 and our membership of the EU committed to reduce CO2 emissions by 21% by the year 2012. An important part of this reduction will we achieve through lower energy consumption in our buildings. With the new building regulation from 2006 are of great importance to the overall energy consumption in buildings. All buildings constructed after the new regulations will have a 25 - 30% lower energy consumption compared to the Rules from 1995-98. From 2011 we will see a further reduction by 25%, and in 2016 also at 25%. There are obviously requirements for better insulation of buildings, but also growing demands for better windows and doors, and better tightening. Major air-tightness of buildings requires higher ventilation in our houses. This means that it becomes harder to ventilate the building as we have spent the most - with natural ventilation. We can no longer airing out the house through "leaking houses"

With ventilation systems from EcoVent you check your ventilation around the clock. The controlled air exchange also gives you the advantage of the heat in the air we sucks out of the house, fed by fresh air blown into the house. Ventilation system ensures that we can spend ourselves into a dwelling without moisture problems and without genes from ambient to noise, dust and pollen. Good air to humans and houses For maintenance of the built environment and a healthy indoor climate in the rest rooms are on mechanical ventilation invaluable.

Through improved insulation and recycling of heat energy from ventilation air, we create a further improvement of energy balance. It is important that we in our well insulated and tight housing will have a pleasant and healthy indoor. Studies show that poor air indoors gives headaches and allergic diseases. When we average people living inside us 90% of our life, it is important that we are surrounded by air without harmful substances.

5. Heatexchanger - counterflow

Extractor Our aggregates sucks the used air that is filled with humidity, odors and harmful substances from the damp areas. The rooms are humid kitchen, washroom, shower and toilet. Exhaust valves sucks either, after building a proportionate quantity of air out, or to its needs. The heat from the removed air becomes the heat transferred to the fresh outdoor air. After the heat energy is applied to the heat exchanger the used air is lead directly to the outside, through wall- or roof grill.

8. Fresh air filter 6. Exhaust fan

9. Exhaust air filter 7. Injecting fan

EcoVent improves through better insulation and seal achieved energy savings. EcoVents fans constantly renew the air, and with the delicate heat regain created a further improvement of energy balance. More importantly, is that we in the tight and well insulated buildings creates a good healthy indoor climate.

Ambient air will be filtered in the ventilation system and led through the heat exchanger, where heat from the spent air outlet. The preheated air, is injected with the supply air system to all residence and sleeping quarters.

Injection in the rooms is done through the ceiling valves or wall / floor grates. EcoVent accessories With an extensive accessories program, it is possible to create a good indoor climate in your home.

Closet aggregates EcoVent S450 and

EcoVent S600 Ducting in the cold room!

Fully insulated pipes with a muff and tip

.

So you do not need to insulate after the pipe to bring fresh air into ventilation system, or the used air to be brought out into the open air.

With our vertically standing closet aggregates we can ventilate from 50 - nearly 2,500 m3 per hour.

Aggregates for incorporation, or almost no space EcoVent R200 S and

EcoVent R200 L

With our slimline aggregates, we can ventilate from 50 - almost 350 m3 per

hour.

Preheating the air - to avoids frost! Here are 2 different systems, preheating fresh

air before it reaches the ventilation system.

Heating the injection air! We are conducting an extensive program of

after heat surfaces so the house can be completely or partially heated by the ventilation

air.

Why pre-heat the fresh air before the

heat exchanger?

There are several good reasons to heat

fresh air before it reaches the EcoVent

unit with the delicate heat exchanger:

• Using EcoVents efficient heat

exchanger, produces condensate,

which can freeze at low fresh air

temperatures to the aggregate.

• By pre-heating the fresh air keeps

at all the time temperature at a

level that frost problems do not

occur.

• Now the ventilation system can

operate with 100% balance all

year round

• When the earth is used for pre

heating, the soil thermal inertia,

also applies to a not insignificant

cooling in summertime.

When using a heat exchanger in the recovery of the house heat, there is at low external temperature always a risk that the ventilation system goes into frost protection status. Normally this is creating an imbalance in the system - The injection fan run down until the formation of ice is gone. This method would lead to an often unwelcome imbalance in indoor air (negative pressure inside the house) and thus also reduces comfort in the house. Especially in modern air tight houses close, as it often is not possible to create the imbalance without closing the windows ajar (the houses are built very air tight). The simplest method to avoid ventilation system going into antifreeze protection status, is to apply a pre heater, which heat is supplied from the house heating system. For this purpose the necessary amount of energy is relatively small. There will, at an air exchange rate of 216 m³ / h and a degree day figure of 3500, be deployed around 150 kWh to keep fresh air as high as 3.5 degrees (heat recovery of 85%). For low-energy house, or passive house, we will however recommend a different technology. An earth pre-heating circuit with brine, will not only protect the ventilation system at low ambient temperature, but will also be used for cooling the ambient temperature on a hot summer day. The only energy fed into this system, is energy to a small pump, which electronically controlled only run when necessary, and with so little energy consumption as the current situation requires.

In winter we preheat the air to prevent frost air into the ventilation system. The earth heat the air.

In the summer the air is cooled before entering the ventilation system. We get help to keep better temperature in the house. The earth chill the air.

Installation:

Air flow must be horizontal. The device must be rotated 10 – 15 º against condensation drain – see drawing.

Pump - / safety set.

■ Use □ The device performs the pumping task in the earth preheating curquit; The device is equipped with manometers and overpressure valve. There is a pipe branch for filling of water and anti freeze to the system, incl. temperature control. Installation takes place without welding or brazing.

■ Construction □ Fixtures in brass. Pump - Grundfos UPS 25-40 or -60 All joints are leakage testet. The pump is equipped with cable and joint to be connected to the electronic control HTR2-1. ■ Energy/dimensions □ The version PGR-1-40 with pump UPS 25-40 is for ventilation systems up to 250 m³/h with a brine-air heater CWK 200 .. 250

□ The version PGR-1-60 with pump UPS 25-60 is for ventilation systems up to 300-500 m³/h with a brine-air heater CWK 315-400 ..

Control.

■ Use □ Variable temperature controlled power supply to the brine system, heating the intake air in winter and cools the intake air in summer. ■ Power supply □ 230 V ac, 50 hz.

■ Sensor □ 1 x PT-100 temperature sensor with a diameter of only 6 mm. The sensor is inserted into the ventilation systems intake air channel. The location must be between the brine supplied pre heater and the ventilation unit.

■ Modulation □ The controller modulates almost continuously variable between 0 and 100%. The controller compares the actual intake air temperature with the set temperatures for summer and winter settings. ■ Settings □ The following 3 values can be set:

□ The minimum intake air temperature - winter.

□ The maximum intake air temperature - summer.

□ Some underlying set points (for example. Pulse length)

The display shows in normal position the current intake air temperature that has been reached after the pre heater, and the performance of the pump.

Directly intake air preheating system LEWT

The direct Air preheating system LEWT get the effectiveness of your ventilation system with heat recovery to grow - without significant energy consumption! LEWT saves much energy and get energy costs down to a minimum. The optimal solution for ventilation with heat recovery.

Advantages □ Preheating during the cold season

without extra energy consumption. □ Prevents ice on your counter flow

heat exchanger. □ Immediate cooling on hot summer

days. □ After heater is not necessary. Not

even on very cold winter days. □ Complete kit with the parts fit

together. ■ Functional principle Using the air pre heating unit LEWT we use the soil temperature that through the year is stable . The ambient air, we do not directly lead into the house, but through a round in 1 m depth laid earth pipe.

■ This means that: □ Through the cold season a pre heating of fresh intake air with up to 14 degrees. This means that when ambient reaches the ventilation system with heat recovery, the temperature is always above 2 º C, thus do not freeze. A higher total heat recovery and hence a higher supply air temperature is reached. After Heating is not necessary. □ On hot summer days, that means that the air preheater is chilling out the high air temperature, so that we have a significant cooling effect for the benefit of the room temperature. □ In the autumn and in the spring the air intake will switch between soil pipe and direct intake from the open air. It is controlled by a sensor placed outside in ambient temperature.

The electrical by-pass valve controls automatically the ideal temperature for ventilation. Outside air will then be energy optimized in the ventilation unit, thus saving a lot of energy - in the house, there is always a nice and good indoor climate. ■ Delivery □ To achieve an effective process during construction, and saving transportation costs, LEWT is delivered as kits. The kit consists of three parts described below. □ The individual components are perfectly adapted to each other and form a complete system. It provides a simple, rapid and accurate assembly and guarantee of a good functionality. LEWT-Byggesæt Item No 2977

■ Project Planning □ To maximize the heat from the soil pipe it must be laid in a depth of minimum 1.3 m. In this depth through the year, there will be a fairly constant temperature of 8 º C. The Earth's temperature will at greater laying depth be more constant. □ By laying the soil pipe, it is very important that it has minimum 2% drop against the condensation drain. □ To get the maximum heat transfer, the pipe should be placed in sand (5 cm below, 5 cm above). With the pipes in parallel, there must be a minimum horizontal distance of 1 meter between the pipes. □ To minimize the pressure loss in the pipe, it should not be layed with a bend radius of less than 1 m.

Often asked questions about mechanical ventilation with heat recovery!

Reflections At the draft stage following points should be obser ved: □ Which construction have to be realized (Apartment, Single-family house, other house or business)? □ What areas must be ventilated? □ Where are the aggregate ranked? (In the basement, the ceiling, in the scullery / engineering room,

or?) □ What types of control valves are wanted? (Round valves in the ceiling grills in the wall or floor, or? □ What kind of operation is requested by the aggregate - 3-step guidance, or a kind of automatic? □ Does efficiency increased through earth pre heating? Respondings to the questions above: ■ Air, or liquid based earth pre heating □ When pre-heating wants to be installed the easiest way is to install the aggregat either in the

basement or ground floor. □ When accessories such as earth pre heating desired installed, it is necessary to provide the

necessary additional space for these parts. You can choose either air-based, or liquid-based pre-heat.

■ Where should ventilation facilities be located? □ Installation in the basement, o top of the ceiling, or in the scullery / engineering room? □ Depending on the location you want for your EcoVent facility, there will be given a model

appropriate to the task - for this L (horizontal), S for the cupboard (standing), or our thin model, well suited for build in!

■ Where should supply and exhaust valves be located ? □ The best locations will often be in the ceiling or wall, because it should not be taken as high regard

as by-floor location (Respecting furniture). □ Comfort in each room depends on a proper location of the valves. You must avoid direct airflow

where seats are located. □ Most check valves can be provided with the opportunity to set the air direction. This applies to both

ceiling and wall valves. ■ Control of ventilation system? □ Standard is our aggregates supplyed with a 3-step guidance making it possible to ventilate

appropriate for different activities. Step-1 is used for no activity, or none at home. Step 2 - used for moisture-making activities as cooking, bathing, etc. Step-3 used for parties or many guests. Operating the device can also turn off the machine, stop injecting for summer operation, or you can read when the filter should be changed (requires accessory).

□ You can also choose not to operate the plant by adding various forms of automatism. It may be a
