Introducing eggyplay®

The funniest egg box in the world!Inspired by the legendary Lego® building blocks, eggyplay® is carving out a new market segment in the food-packaging industry by introducing its revolutionary, creative packaging concept for the egg industry.

eggyplay® is most certainly a food package, but also a sustainable toy. The boxes are large-scale, stackable building blocks that interlock perfectly to build great structures, like castles and towers. The possibilities are endless. In addition, eggyplay® boxes are very light, so no one will get hurt if the tower should tumble. Just don’t try to climb it!

The playful, colourful eggyplay® boxes are made using an injection process and from dishwasher-safe polypropylene that is 100% recyclable. Its solid design gives eggs added protection. Moreover, the boxes are ideal for stacking and stabilizing eggs.

WHERE EGGS AND BUILDING BLOCKS COME TOGETHER!

eggyplay® is a trademark owned by DAVA Foods Packaging. The company was founded in 2014 based on a strategic partnership between Danish food manufacturer DAVA Foods Group and Dutch packaging group Twinpack Special Products. DAVA Foods Packaging manufactures this new packaging for the egg industry and sells it through its distribution network. The vision of DAVA Foods Packaging is to generate added value for retailers and consumers alike, there by providing innovative packaging solutions.

Did you know that the inventor of Lego®, Ole Kirk Christiansen, was also born in Denmark and that the word Lego® is derived from the Danish “leg godt” and means “play well?”

Lego® is a registered trademark owned by the Lego Group. eggyplay® is an independent trademark owned by DAVA Foods Packaging. eggyplay® is in no way affiliated or associated with the Lego Group.

For Halloween, eggyplay® has special black and orange egg boxes, and for the Christmas holidays, eggyplay® has festive red and white boxes. To begin the process of developing a powerful brand image, eggyplay® has registered its trademark and patented its innovative packaging concept.

Fully customizable in-mold labels

eggyplay® egg boxes are design with two in-mold labels: one on the front of the box and the other on the back. They are fully customizable to include your logo, advertising messages and relevant information such as barcodes, nutritional facts, etc.

Mandatory eggyplay® graphic standards

In order to promote and preserve the brand, several key graphic elements must be displayed on the label on the front of the box. These are: the eggyplay® logo, the blue arch and a warning about using the box as toy. The label on the back of the box must have a blue background (100%cyan).

Canada: Standards set by the Guide to the Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act and Regulations:

Information must be bilingual in all places. On the back, the “Nutrition Facts” table and barcode must be displayed against a blue background as in the example provided. TocomplywiththeCanadianrequirementsforthelabellingof shell eggs, two custom stickers must be added on top of the box. The first identifies the common name, net quantity, size and grade of the eggs, as well as their origin and the storage instructions. The second includes the pre-use warning text, as well as the name, logo and contact information of the classifiers.
