b) Vine (noun) : a vine is like a branch, but is actually a stem of a climbing plant

5) SYNOPSIS

The settings is Greenwich village, New York, Johnsy and Sue and Behrman are three of the

impoverished artists .One autumn, Johnsy suffers from Pneumonia that has killed so many

people at that time, Johnsy is despair that she depends her life on the ivy leaves outside the

window .She believes that the moment the last leaf falls she will die .Her friend .Sue does

not what to do except worrying and constant nursing
