Ronald J. Garzotto, MST, CPA – 30 years Ron is a member who co-manages the tax services of RVG and has 30 years of experience in public accounting. Ron’s focus is on tax planning and compliance for high net-worth individuals, trusts and closely held businesses. Ron also has extensive experience in advising on the appropriate choice of entity, structuring and analyzing the acquisition and disposition of business assets, and representing clients during federal and state tax audits and appeals.

Ron received his Master of Science in Taxation and Bachelor of Science in Finance degrees from DePaul University and is a member of the AICPA and Illinois CPA Society.

Tom Pruim, CPA – 25 yearsTom manages the accounting and audit services of RVG with 25 years of experience in public accounting. He began his career with a mid-sized Chicago CPA firm and joined RVG in 1999. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from Loyola University of Chicago.

Tom is the member responsible for RVG’s technical compliance review and oversees the firm’s adherence to our system of quality control. In addition to providing traditional audit, accounting and tax services to his clients, Tom acts as business advisor and consultant. He focuses on improving profits, internal controls, operating efficiencies, compliance with federal and state regulations, and reacting to information available from an organization’s financial statements. He is a member of the AICPA and Illinois CPA Society.

Dan M. Vitale, MST, CPA/PFS – 25 yearsDan is a member who co-manages the tax services of RVG with 25 years of experience. During his entire career, his focus has been on tax planning and compliance for high net-worth individuals and closely-held businesses. Dan began his career with Ernst & Young LLP, Entrepreneurial Services, where he worked for 10 years consulting with entrepreneurial businesses and the owners on tax minimization strategies. During his tenure at E&Y, Dan also worked in E&Ys National Tax Office in Washington, DC where he taught E&Y tax-related courses, was a national technical consultant to tax professionals, and developed tax-related planning opportunities for individuals and entrepreneurial businesses.

Dan received his Master of Science in Taxation and Bachelor of Science in Accounting degrees from DePaul University. He is also a Personal Financial Specialist. Dan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Illinois CPA Society and the Personal Financial Planning Division of the AICPA.

Steven P. Remy, CPA – 30 years

Steve is the managing member of RVG with over 30 years of public accounting experience. He has extensive management consulting experience and has provided assistance to clients with mergers and acquisitions and design of management information systems. In addition, he has provided many clients with litigation support including expert testimony.

Steve is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois Certified Public Accountant Society. He serves on the advisory boards of several closely-held manufacturing and distribution companies. Steve also served on the finance committee of his parish and was a trustee of a local, private high school.
