Anterior Veneer Preparation Kit

The Anterior Veneer Prep Kit as designed by Dr. Ken Neuman contains five diamond instruments. If one follows the very simplesequence an ideal anterior veneer preparation is easily produced.

The Brasseler USA 834-021 and 016diamond burs will quickly provide depthcuts of 0.5 and 0.3 mm respectively.

To properly prepare the “elbow” areas onveneers, turn the Brasseler USA 6844-014 or 16on its end. This bur can also be used for theincisal wrap on veneers, as the gold tip is theideal shape for this part of the preparation.

Simply smoothout the ridges made by the depth cuttersand you automatically have reduced thedesired amount. The gold tip on this bur issmoother than the body of the bur and isideally suited for a consistent preparationof the gingival area.

Technique Sequence

The inlay, onlay anterior and posterior full crown coverage kit according to Dr. Ken Neuman is designed for optimal preparation ofi n l a y , onlay and full crown restorations. The kit is very simple to use, and when the suggested sequence is followed leads to a veryaccurate preparation design in an efficient manner.

The Brasseler USA 845KR-018 round endedbucket shaped diamond is used to shape theisthmus at the proper angulation on bicuspids, and molars when you wish a smaller isthmusopening. This bur can also be used to shoe thecusps quickly and easily for esthetic restorations.

The Brasseler USA 849L-009 bur is suited forbreaking contacts and for use to shape the proximalareas where you do not have a lot of space.

Fig. 2

The Brasseler USA 845KR-025 bur is used for molars where the preparation has a larger isthmus width. It can also beused for shoeing cusps by laying it flat at the desired angulation.

Fig. 3

The Brasseler USA 846KR-016 diamond bur is used to set the angulation for proximal contact areas and is also used toshape the lingual/palatal portion of onlay or 3⁄4 crowns preparation.
